Le'Veon Bell seems like a heck of player
As I watch this true freshman play I have to say I am pretty impressed. Not bad at all for a scout/rivals 2 star...
Something to think about when it comes to being critical of our own recruits and where they might rank or how many stars they might or might not have.

He looks very good.

Like i said earlier these ranking services only care if you go to their summer camps and such.....
I'd bet the farm he didn't go to any summer camps and therefore he gets no credit from these services....It's nice to see so many stars by your name, but if you cant afford to go to these camps you might get looked over because a guy like Tom Lemming says your not good since you didnt attend a camp.

May have to change our slogan to "WRAP UP THE GUY WITH THE DAMN BALL."
Seriously, the broken tackles today against UMass has me rather concerned. We'll put up a buttload of points on this MSU defense, however.

LOL. Poor tackling has been an issue with this team since the last years of Carr. This is nothing new and why i think there is some curse on this team when it comes to tackling (a very big pet peeve of mine as some of you have noticed).

I don't think there were TOO many broken tackles against UCONN (correct me if I'm wrong), and I personally think Armando Allen is one hell of an athlete (so I wasn't surprised when we missed some tackles). But when a UMass running back can bounce off two or three Michigan defenders and keep going...problem.

Two stars? Around here the three star mafia wouldn't even comment....it would just be recruiting armageddon posts.

He's a great player. We're really going to have to step up the pressure from the dline if we're gonna stop him.

Definitely looks great so far. Surprised the hell out of me when I read he was a two-star out of high school.
But hey, look at Omameh. Same deal.

I was very, very impressed with his play both tonight and the past week.

whose only other offers were Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and Marshall. Sounds like Indiana's non-conference schedule.

I agree. Roy Roundtree was a 3-star, and he's arguably our best offensive skill player whose name does not start with Denard/Devin and end in Robinson/Gardner.
Stars ratings are stupid and very political. ESPN, for example, always rates the UA all americans ridiculously higher than the other sites, and I bet the other sites have similar biases towards their AA games and their regional combines to make it look like they have the best players at their events

and it took a dash of snake oil and a wizard hat to pry him away from a lifetime supply of Quaker Oats.
