From what I understand hes likely staying and competing for the job. One line in an article mentioned the possibility of a transfer and everyone runs with that when he likely, as a competitor, stays and wants the job there.

The assumption is that he won't play if he doesn't win the starting job. He graduates in December, so then would have two years of eligibility and immediate availability for the Spring practice wherever he goes.

BUT, it's possible he will end up playing even if he doesn't win the starting job and Tua is successful -- injuries, for example. I doubt Saban would screw him by playing him in garbage time, but there are plenty of scenarios in which 'Bama would need him to play. So it's uncertain as to whether he will have one or two years of eligibility when he transfers. Two is not a given.

I wouldn’t be scared of Hurts with our D. Bring on whoever OSU throws out on the field!! Bunch of cowards on here...oh let’s all pray that OSU doesn’t get him blah blah

that Hurts is as good as he'll ever be after two seasons, but when you offer that opinion about a Michigan player, you get ripped a new one?

Will never happen, but to say UM has too much depth at QB is a hurdle is just wrong, if not laughable. There are already rumors of somebody transferring out at the end of this season, and Hurts will have to sit a year before playing anyway. That means Shea (possibly) and either McCaffrey or Peters would be gone. That leaves either a first yr starting McCaffrey or Peters and a true freshman to battle with Hurts for the starting job. I’m no coach, but I know who I’d probably say leads in that race, and it ain’t a true freshman or a guy with no starting experience.

I don’t follow recruiting very closely, wasn’t sure if he’s on a campus or a recruit yet to be on campus. Still...Hurts or a RS-FR? Hurts has to have the lead right now, right?

The young man did fuck up, as he said, and allowed someone else to take care of his job, a no no, especially at a football mill like Bama. However, he is much too good to be playing backup in cfb and we all only had so much time, be it high school, college, whatever. Jalen is much too good of a baller to be a backup at qb. The position is different than all others and you don't just stick someone in when someone else is moving the team effectively. Surest was I know to fuck up an offense is go away from that which has proven to work.

Huh??? You kidding?

Yay. The voices in my head are back, and we're having a nice two way conversion.

Huh??? What about Shea?

Come in handy if we make a playoff and play bama. Put him on special teams and let him let out all his frustration on the returners. Force a few fumbles. Flip saban the bird. Ahhh one can dream
