It's a pretty wild story. There was a lot of discussion here about what Fergus Connolly did as Director of Performance. Turns out, he is also Director of Football Operations.

Jeebus, that makes for some sad and cringe-worthy reading. Glad no one was seriously injured.

Jim wrote the forward for his book, but who wrote the "conclusion" Dwight Gooden, Lawrence Taylor, Ryan Leaf?

Has nothing to do with his age or his color, and everything to do with no police witness to the driving. When the blood comes back, I am certain that will change.

"He also resisted police during arrest and at the station, where he repeatedly fell from a bench, police said. He was restrained to a chair after taking "an open hand swing," striking an officer on the arm"

Whatever the guy is saying, he is saying it from a position of no knowledge or experience.
Subjects of search warrants for blood often get combative. They are subdued. Unless they do something particulously egregious physically, they are not ordinarily charged with assault or some kind of resisting offense.
If you want to understand why this happens this way, you should practice criminal law for 20 years.
BTW---I read the article.

This kind of incident usually signals a developing or an already full-blown problem with substance abuse/alchohol. If so, the best thing he could do for himself would be to get into treatment and use what I sure feels very negative to him at present as something positive.
More than saving his job, it may save his life, or the life of an innocent bystander.

Reading RCMB, this sounds way more serious than Nassar or the gang rapes the football coaches covered up. When is the OTL for this incident?
