OSU and PSU in a tight game with Purdon't - SUNJ to come.

Bad news for PSU.. their home loss to Rider looks even worse now after top-seeded Rider was upset by St. Peter's in the MAAC championship quarterfinal.  "Big Ten: Our quarterfinals compete wtith the MAAC!"  It won't really move their needle that much in the overall scheme of things, but (a) a few more wins by Rider would have helped their RPI, and (b) if the committee were discussing therm, a loss to a tournament team might not have looked quite as bad as a loss to a non-tournament team.

This one really got me, b/c it is now only hilarious, but it may actually be true! If they win out (which they won't), they will be 18-18 with an RPI in the mid 100s (currently 196!!!).  It would be hard to give them higher than a 15 at best.  High comedy right now, Purdue exceeding expectations in the postseason choke department.

Legit impressed with Rutgers. They bring back Baker and Sanders next year, their basketball team might be on the way to shedding the Buttgers moniker.

that I've ever seen so many open layups.  I can't figure out how Rutgers manages to draw Purdue to the ballhandler nearly every trip.

"Rutgers is the first 14 seed in the Big Ten Tournament to make the quarterfinals!"

Uhh Rutgers is the ONLY 14 seed in Big Ten history. They've literally gotten last every year since they've joined...

Rutgers is playing the best basketball in this tournament in a while.  I really hope Pikell stays for the long haul, he's made them so much better pretty fast, he can build a program. Geo Baker can't miss right now which helps.
