or maybe how fast McKeon and Gentry blew by him. He looked like the heir apparent to Jake Butt since he was a senior in high school and right when FSU happened and we all expected him to break out....he almost literally vanished. I think he had to be 3rd-5th on the pecking order this year
Anyway, congrats on the Michigan degree and good luck wherever you land!

Maybe it is my own relative inattention to these things, but I honestly didn't see this coming even though it seemed like he all but disappeared this year.
Good luck to him.

Unless Tim Drevno is spelled like Ian Bunting. :(

To me, this was the biggest personnel mystery of Michigan's 2017 football season.
Some very good performances by Sean McKeon made it less noticeable.
But Bunting barely got on the field last year. He didn't have any glaring drops; he didn't run any bad routes that I can think of; he didn't miss any critical blocks. He just never had much of a chance in games. I presumed early in the year that maybe there was an injury that we didn't know about.
I am with everybody else who expected Ian Bunting to be Jake Butt 2.0.
I wish him every success as a grad transfer. Hope he gets a lot of playing time with a good team. He's from a very fine high school (Hinsdale) and I presume he's a good student. And that he'll put a year of scholarship-paid grad school to good use.

Good luck Ian. Thanks for your hard work at Michigan. You will always be remembered. Go and do big things brother.

Our grad transfers could make a nice haul for some school.

Go get 'em wherever you end up Ian.
