Izzo: "I need time to sit and look at everything" and "I'm not retiring"

Submitted by Piston Blue on

Looks like Dantonio and Izzo are doubling down. We'll see how this plays out over the next few weeks/months.

the student body seemed appropriately outraged over the Nassar tradegy, but had not yet picked up on the Izzo/Dantonio issues. Maybe they are still in denial. They should be equally outraged over the fate of those survivors and perhaps they soon will be. Seems to me that the BOT needs to go. They are just a tone deaf and complicit as the president they recently supported. At least we get the chance to vote them out.

MSU will never move past this PR issue as long as Dsntonio and Izzy are the leaders on the most visible parts of the university. Consider for a moment that the Magic released Payne and the Clippers suspended Walton already. MSU knows about dozens of issues that involve their coaches, but no action. NBA orgs know this shitstorm is not going away and the players have to answer for the reported incidents. What will be the story line at March Madness for MSU? You can bet the tainted past will be raised at length. What happens when these past incidents become some type of class action against MSU and even moves into civil rights space because it denied rights or legal protection to a group of women? When do they think the press will stop asking them about this topic?

The press will never stop asking questions that’s why I think it’s the beginning of the end for those 2. Also I think more women will come forward when they feel comfortable just like the terrible Nassar situation, neither Izzo or Dantonio have the personality to deal with the press in this kind of ordeal.

As a husband and a father of two beautiful daughters and I write this with tears in my eyes.....I can't put it into words the sadness, sicknesss and outrage that I feel for these young women. Somehow the punishment that Nassar got just doesn't seem enough.

Simon, Hollis and anyone that knew and did nothing about need to to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Simon in particular should have her golden parachute yankded right out from under her. If is is shown that Izzo and Snarky Mark knew anyhting about it they need to go....immediately.

Lastly I damn not better hear from Spartan faithful about the adversity that their scholl and athletic program faced this year......you don't bring adversity on yourself.

Izzo will probably at least last the rest of the season. This scandal could motivate the team. I don’t want to see that bastard win the National Title on the way out.

For everyone hoping Izzo and/or Mork are forced to quit -- seriously, WHO IS GOING TO FORCE THEM?  MoleStU (I will now be using that moniker, like Pedo State, because OTL shows it clearly fits) has no President, has no AD, and its BoT is a bunch of jackoff tonedeaf yesmen who didn't even want to fire Simon.  So who is going to tell the two big dicks on campus they have to quit?

And the new AD, which will take MONTHS to install (they need a new President first), if not longer than months, is not going to fire the two biggest dicks on campus as his first official action.

Those two enablers are gonna be in place as long as they want to be.

The more investigations the better. The AG’s office and now the NCAA are investigating. The new university president and the new athletic director will be walking into a shitshow. In the end Mork and Izzo may be offered as sacrificial lambs to appease the NCAA. I am not holding my breath either but the longer the bad pr continues it may finally force those two out.
