I'm a cord cutter.  I signed up with SlingTV and I do not have access to games that show on BTN.  This season, a lot of Michigan games have aired on BTN, which I am unable to watch.  This forces me to go to our local Buffalo Wild Wings (which I don't mind, mind you); but with two babies at home I feel bad leaving the nest to watch the game.

Anyone else frustrated by the increased amount of games on BTN?

I hate when games are on BTN. To me, that is one of the most worthless channels out there. That said, I have Directv for 15 dollars a month for a whole year. No contract. I have a low package and can change it on Saturday morning (online) to get BTN and then change it back Sunday morning. It’s prorated so I pay next to nothing. I tried to cut the cord but could not pass up their offer.

I believe it’s the entertainment package. I called with all intentions of switching to directv now and low and behold they magically had all these credits for current customers. They do have the new option of changing your package anytime and then you can change it back within the next day and pay the prorated amount for the time you had it.... if that makes any sense.

Yeah I guess it’s been at least two weeks since the last time someone needed to vent about trying to save $25/month and forcing them to go spend $50 a game day on wings and beer instead. Yeah, we’re all super angry that games are on BTN /s. No, we couldn’t care less because we pay the extra $20 to watch in our house and don’t have to worry about using someone else’s password to watch TV.

My main gripe with BTN is that it is not in HD in the bay area, and I have to endure all those goddamned lumberjack/caveman underwear commercials.

As a long time cord cutter I can say you have options for watching games but it will be some work and sometimes you'll have to go on social media lockdown and watch it later.

If you're lucky your ISP will give you access to espn3 which will let you watch all espn3 and abc games live and those plus all other espn networks (except sec network) on replay for up to a week after.

If you're lucky you have a family member or friend who will give you their cable log on for btn2g0 which will let you watch any game on btn live and any game period after midnight that night. btn+ you're still screwed though, but thats pretty much only the first few games of each basketball season.

You can find any sporting event streaming live illegally online somewhere. You will probably have to click to close a crapton of annoying ads even with an adblocker when it starts, the picture might be crappy, and it will be impossible to watch on an iphone/ipad which means no streaming to the tv so you'll be at your desk watching. The other bad thing is that these sites seem to get shutdown a lot so you'll often be having to find new ones to use. As someone above said r/cfbstreams is a good jumping off point and that's obviously not going anywhere.

Once a game is over you can find a lot of them on mgovideo.com (though he seems to never have the hardest ones to find like exhibition games and cupcake games). You can also often find the games on youtube but it is nearly impossible to find via youtube's search feature, especially if you don't want to see the score first, and not long after you find a good youtube account to rely on it'll be taken down.

Except for the zoomed-in thing which every producer facilitates (except Mr. FOX-at-Ross-Ade), I like the BTN broadcasts just fine. The bummer for me is that I wanted BTN for the extra football content, but - even in the Harbaugh era - the Michigan negativity has been overwhelming. It seems to me that Dienhart is the worst of all, but my unfortunate hunch is that he is the zeitgeist over there. Lame.

Games on fox and abc suck, so many commercials and commentators that have no clue about any of the players. BTN is much faster less commercials

My experience with streaming live games has sucked. Once I thought we had the game won and were headed on the field to kick a punt and seal the game up. As they were getting lined up to kick, I was receiving texts about some kind of a game winning blocked punt! Streaming delay is fine most the time but absolutely not then! The horror! Haven’t streamed a game since.

I cut the cord the week of the Rutgers game. Ended up going with Hulu live because it was the only service i found with both BTN and ESPN and most services are around the same $40 price.

Switched to psvue in may and love it. I go to all the home games so I only need to watch a couple games on tv. And psvue has all the sports channels for $35 a month. I have been saving $40 a month. Now if I could just find a better deal on my internet.

I have the basic tier with BTN and ESPN and Fox, but I've found I can add the Watch ESPN, Fox Sports Go and BTN2Go apps that authenticate with PS Vue.  They allow me to get ESPN3, Fox Business when UM is shifted there and BTN live/video, plus and to go.  A Mohu antenna for local stations caps it off.

My dad’s cable login. I’m the reason so many cable companies are losing money. Sorry, I️ guess?

Would suggest you obtain login credentials from someone you know. Get them a nice gift basket for Christmas.

If you have fox sports on sling tv, download the fox sports go app.  This app carries the BTN games as Fox owns 51% of BTN.  I did this when I did my trial with Sling
