Jeff DEEEEEEEFrans strong dislike of RR

Submitted by MacombBLUE on

The guy seems to literally takes joy in talking about the potential demise of RR. Listeneing just now, he is almost gleeful in discussing alleged discussion of Michigan firing RR in August in exchange to thwart possible sanctions and bans against the program.

Then Copey comes in with a level head saying it is HIGHELY unlikely that would ever happen, especially so close to the season. DeFran is like 'OH, It's a throw away season" and "your looking too far into the future". You've GOT TO look into the future.

Anyway, DeeeeFran tries to reach so far in his anti-RR propoganda that he comes off very inobjective and transparent in his bias against him.

It's all going to come down to WINS and LOSSES This season. Simple as that.

Lol, don't tell me what not to post.

I read the board. There are FAR more threads about other things than the opinions/comments/reports from writers, show hosts and others. It's not like this place is inundated withe them.

If there were 3 other threads about Defran before mine, I'd understand. You're bitching just to bitch. You're not forced to read them.

Your solution of people simply ignoring threads rather than policing each other is ridiculous. It would make the board unmanageable. Self-policing is the culture here. Get used to it. Adapt.

For more information, check your friendly MGoBoard FAQ:

"How can I avoid downvotes?

Don't be redundant."

Your topic is redundant with every other rant about a media person who bashes RR.

Also, I see you upvoted yourself. Have you no shame?

Haha, Meltdown? it's a message board. The people here who take the time to bitch about certain threads indicate a meltdown. I just posted something. A few peopl cried about it being there after theu clicked on it, and well, yeah, I'll respond to some of the posts. That's why they're there...a little back and forth.

So, steviebrown, since my mgopoints have gone back up 15 now in the last 2 minutes, after going down 15 5 minutes ago, does that mean I win> What do I win? High score. Did I beat it? Does that mean I have a bigger member? Do I not need to be "policed" now?

If posting a thread about DeFran and his comments is such a huge problem, delete my account. Seriously. I understand the concept of policing, but when a thread does pertain to the program, I think some of you like to take your 'responsibilities" too seriously. If I am a cronic poster of the same stuff over and over, I'd understand. But you some of you seem to get off at bitching.

lol, have I no shame? Have you no shame in the fact you actually checked? Why cares? Hell, I'll down vote my posts if it will provide meaning for you and make you feel better.

I welcome the discussion, when it's new info.

What Defran was spouting today was new info.  He's the only person in the world claiming that Michigan is internally shopping the idea of trading RR's head for less sanctions.  I too was listening to the discussion on my ride home from work and was just dumbfounded.

Firstly, no way the NCAA cares if RR is still the coach or not.  Just ask John Calipari.  The axe never falls on the coach from the NCAA, it only falls on the school.  Schools typically drop their own axe on the coach.  NCAA does not care about punishing coaches.

Secondly, way to abuse your airwaves and spew stuff that you know is bull just because you want the coach out of town.

It's almost as if the idea that talk radio hosts take ridiculous positions to start controversy and discussion on their show is new to a lot of people here.  Because we have threads like this constantly every time some talking head jaws off about something slightly off-kilter.

I mean, why does Mike Valenti have a career?  Because this is what he does day in and day out.  And it draws listeners like a magnet.

Now I see I'm down to 156 points. What does this all mean!?!?!?! It's supposed to do something, right? You wouldn't be doing it if it were for nothing, correct???

But it has helped so many people to make a difference in life and give and neg points. It's brought out some of the most brilliant of posts from people with THOUSANDS OF POINTS! THAT'S the standard they are ALL tryin g to defend!

Posts about people with an agenda against Michigan=BADD

Asking other posters to make out with you=GOOD

We have ALL learned valuable info today.

Am i going to die? Answers. Message boards and the internet are obviously serious business. I need to know what the points mean!!!!

Picttures of cats and emo kids gets you points. Talking about Jeff DeFran and his agenda gets you negged.

Wait a minute. I got it. Every screen name is ACTUALLY DEFRAN!!!!! It makes sense to me NOW!

I'd be willing to guess that no one negged you until you started getting all worked up and insulting people.  All the spelling errors don't help, but really that's a minor part of this.

If someone negs you, or you make a post that's not well received, just leave it alone.  Trying to tell people that they should care about your post after they tell you they don't will not help your point total.  You might not care, but that's how that story goes.

Wolv, I never insulted anybody, except to respond and discuss about why, if someone didn't like the thread, why even contribute in responding to the thread.

The sarcasm, the insults, the junk abbout the points and spellingerrors (which really have NOTHING to do with anything) the pics were all started by others.I  will simply follow the direction the post takes.

People shouldn't get upset at others and degenrate a thread after spewing stuff about "policing". You make yourself look stupid by "policing" a topic that DOES pertain to Michigan, but let everybody elses attempt at humor and hi-jacking the thread go by the way-side. Doesn't make much sense.

Humor will always be well received, especially in a beating-a-dead-horse thread.  Bottom line:  Hearing about some yahoo ripping on RR gets old.  A kitten waiting for a high five does not.

For the future, if you make a topic that's not real popular, let it be.  It will get 8-10 replies and no one will remember you posted it.  We are past that point, unfortunately.

It was turned into a beating a dead horse thread by others who claim to hold themselves up to "policing" with an air of "high standards".

People will say they don't want to read or participate in the thread, yet will turn it into a deahorse thread.

Kind of defeats the purpose of what is trying to be done.

If a thread is not wanted or accepted, simply have a mod delete it. Then you won't have threads turning into this and taking up space. Then if you want to see cat pictures, just create an OT thread.
