i don't think Gronkowski is the sharpest knife in the drawer.
His interview on NFL Network made it look like he almost dropped a deuce in his suit ...
Went to elementary, middle, and high school with him. Can't say he's too intelligent, but he made National Honor Society. Of course, he cheated off of me in Spanish, my girlfriend in English, and I'm sure plenty of others elsewhere.
I'm still pumped to see a kid I went to HS with get drafted, though.
I wish Mel would stop saying "his stiffness bothered me". Brrrrr.
just say the Baltimore Raiders?
Glad I am not the only one who heard that.
Lamarr Houston
Clausen droppin like it's hot
take huff and now houston...*sigh*
great pick ravens
Jimmah will go lower than Pat White.
I guess the League likes Rich Rod's QBs better than Charlie's after all.
heavy draft ever.
Which is why I said take Berry instead of Suh yesterday. Trade down, Berry in the first, trade down, DT in the second, Gerhart in the 3rd, trade up, OT in the 3rd. That would have been ideal.
that all DTs are not created equal. Some have been endowed by their creators with more HULK SMASH...
The Panthers have to be doing somersaults right now.
...for reasons that escape me
ESPN doesn't even list QB as a need for them
That was pretty emotional between Houston and Goodell. Any relationship there? I'm half paying attention.
must have signed Millen as a consultant.
Who the hell is Zane Beadles?
Only 28 more selections until my bears pick at #75
the cutler trade?
Jimmy? Is this Jimmy? Jimmy this is Grandma. Did anybody pick you to play on their baseball team yet?
there goes Clausen
edit: nope. lol.
This is not the pick I expected.
Alright, I would expect to see a rush of QBs now. Clausen, McCoy, then LeFevour by the end of the round?
Wow ... I guess there is something to media hype
Jimmaahh has been hyped from here to the moon and apparently was more a product of hype than talent
Carolina!!!
Panthers got pretty lucky here. Solid core around him, he could thrive in Carolina.
My thoughts exactly. I didn't think he would slide this far and I didn't think that they could pass on him either.
Claussen is going to have an opportunity to start ...
While he lost like 30 million by not making the first round, he still landed on his feet
Probably the only one too...good value pick for us.
Taylor Mays just went off the board too.
with this pick, instant starter.
I'm not so sure ...
the knock on him is mental ... remember how awful it was when Stevie Brown was deep and got burned/juked?
I gotta think that a guy like Singletary could turn Mays into an absolute monster. Panthers and Niners restore order to the draft with two solid picks.
Edit: Chiefs too with Arenas. Another nice pick.
with Arenas and Berry.
Anybody know a lot about Griffen? I thought he was a borderline first rounder.....Lions have to take him if he's there, right?
I lot of people are saying he's a first round talent, he'd be a nice pick at this stage of the draft.
Where's that thread talking about white players inevitably being compared to other white players? I mean, is there any resemblance between Gerhart and Alstott outside of them being white?
trade up and grab Charles Brown. I doubt he'll be there long enough to make it possible, but still...
They were both big college running backs. They also have the same number of letters in their name. They are basically the same player
I'd like to see the Eagles take McCoy here.
Edit: good trade down for them if they are going to take McCoy.
they god rid of McNabb because they believe in Kolb - no way they would go QB.
They said they got rid of him because they believe in Kolb.
care about character concerns.
I hope Bruce Campbell or Everson Griffen fall to Detroit. Either one of those guys would be an excellent pick at this juncture.
would be a great pick at this stage of the draft, seems like the Lions might get a stud in the third round if some of these picks keep up.
I think of him as the bizarro Brandon Graham. Tons of talent but little work ethic, often in disputes with coaching staff, and very little production. Then he comes out early after a not-so-stellar season. He has the ability to blow up in the pros but I wouldn't want to take a chance on him.
Campbell would be a terrific pickup, even though he's more of a RT.
Campbell is one of the most athletic LT prospects in the draft. That being said, I was glad GB didn't pick him at 23. Workout warrior that didn't show up in games.
Now in the 3rd round, I think he'll be a hell of a pick. I hope GB takes a Veldheer, Campbell, Brown. Still a bunch of good LT projects on the board.
I didn't realize Torry Holt signed with New England. Nice signing Pats!
