Another rule change coming at the expense of the lions? Boned again. No way in hell that was indisputable. Does the side of the calf count as a knee? Because that's what MIGHT have touched the ground.

So instead of an extremely exciting 4th down play to decide the game, the NFL has decided that fans would prefer a run-off. Every single person in the front office should be fired and barred from any future employment in sports.

The Lions get much credit for hanging with the Atlanta Falcons, but I didn't fully like the execution of the final play. Matthew has to make sure Tate and that throw is into the end zone. You can't risk Tate getting tackled inches before the goal line with no timeouts.
I think Matthew threw just a split second too early and just a little too low. Tate and his knee was already falling to the ground to catch the low pass and that allowed the defender to get away with just a brush touch tackle.
It was still a great effort overall by the Lions.
