Purdue does not have AC in Visitor Locker Room
Purdue has AC in their home locker room, but no AC in the visitor locker room.
This seems like a dirt bag move by Purdue.
Harbaugh had the starters sit in the team bus with the AC on, as opposed to the locker room.
Purdue is in the B1G and can afford AC in both. How common is this? It seems like there should be rules against it. If Purdue played us in late November in Ann Arbor, would it be okay to have the heat in their locker room just warm enough so the pipes don't freeze?

Purdue comes to visit, you bury a few land mines on the visiting sideline...tit for tat

You would think an engineering school would be able to complete the HVAC system in their facilities.

I have to agree with you, it is a shitty thing to do. Pink away locker rooms like Iowa? Fine. But doing something that affects you physically like not having AC is bullshit.

OMG the young well conditioned exceptional athletes will all die!

I was more surprised/concerned about the lack of an X-ray machine at the Purdue facility.

This seems wrong to me. I believe that typically there are conference and NCAA rules which require the visiting team to receive equivalent facitilies.

People can we just stay on subject?
This is classless by Purdue. Kind of hard to believe it is allowed.

Update:
Interesting, how he couldn't name any names of other places.
Any school that does this lacks class. If we do it too, I will be appauled.

1. What are the facilities like at UM Stadium? I ask because in the book about Jon Falk, If These Walls Could Talk and Forty Years in The Big House, I believe it is emphasized that Michigan tries to be very hospitable to visiting teams.
2. What are the other facilities around the Big Ten like?
The age of the facility should not matter. Michigan stadium dates back tp 1927 so it is in the same era as Ross-Ade stadium in Lafayette.
3. If there are regulations stipulating equal facilities, then this is a clear violation. If there aren't this is still very low sub-bush league stuff. If the message from many programs is about getting players ready for 'the next level' playing and training in 'next level' circumstances is a selling point.

Do you think it is reasonable for a B1G team to have AC in the home locker rooms and not have it in the visitor locker rooms?
The B1G total distribution is about $40 Million. They can afford it in the visitor locker room and if they can't then remove it from the home locker room.
This isn't that much different than Minnesota providing pond water for the visiting team to drink a century ago, while providing clean water for their home team; and thus the Little Brown Jug.

So, do we know the status of other visiting locker rooms in the Big Ten? Is the Purdue rep telling the truth or blowing smoke? If blowing smoke, I'd hate to see this story die down. I got nothing against Purdue personally, but if they are guilty as charged, it's pretty disgraceful.

Just downvoted every single person who tried to change this into a climate change thread.
And yes, you each deserved it.
