Michigan @ Purdue Game Announcers on Fox: Joe Davis & Brady Quinn

4 PM- Michigan at Purdue (FOX): Joe Davis, Brady Quinn, Bruce Feldman

Davis and Quinn are young guys, but they seem to be fairly competent.  Davis seems to do a good job in announcing baseball.  He did announce Army @ Ohio State last week and did a fairly good job in my view.

Look, I'm just saying that I don't think the Michigan football game announcting can be as bad as the announcing duos over the last three weekends, namely:

vs Florida - Tessitore+Blackledge

vs Cincy - Bob Wischusen+Brock Huard

vs Air Force - Kevin Kugler+ Matt Millen

So let's try to enjoy this.  Or shut the volume off altogether, as I often do.

 

For what it's worth, it's Ohio State fans' turn to enjoy Matt Millen's kernels of wisdom this week vs. UNLV.

My new thing is to put on the Michigan radio broadcast on the internet and then sync the game up with Brando's call. Works like a charm if you have the capability to pause live tv.

Huard is the worst guy working these days.  Hate him so much.

Miss McDonough and Spielman, who were the best thing going for a bunch of years.

Quinn I think was pretty good from the first time I heard him call a game.  I was shocked to not hate him.  Fox's top two crews (this one and Gus/Joel Klatt) are both better than any of ESPN's.  I think Tess and Blackledge are the best of ESPN's pairings, though that's a pretty low bar.

Fox needs to hire more Michigan guys. Brady Quinn sucks too and his sister married aj hawk. The whole family is poison. You know what makes the announcers ok, watching the game live or muting the tv!

I have to watch tape delayed today, no worries have a much better record in these situations than Bryan Mac, Penn st last year was the last time. There is an MLB game on FOX before the scheduled start of our game, it's scheduled for three hours, wouldn't be crazy if it spilled into our game. Do we know which channel Fox would move the start of our game too?

Galloway, Huard, and Kannell should not even be allowed near a microphone to analyze a game. All three are awful and I put more stock in what a local high school cable access channel analysist would offer than all three of those guys combined.

I think I'd rather listen to Matt Millen make awkward pubic hair jokes again than to have to listen that Joe Davis guy again. "Michigan has a great offensive line!" made me choke on my pizza. And then he followed that up with "Michigan has plenty of depth at the receiver position!"
