O/T Washington Nationals Anthony Rendon may have had greatest hitting day ever?

I thought the Tigers bullpen was awful but the New York Mets let Nationals third baseman put up these numbers today. 6 AB's 6 hits 4 runs 3 homeruns 10 RBI In my 30 years of watching the game. This is the best I've seen. Any top it?

I love Rendon and the Nats, but todays game was only the slighest salve to the wound inflicted on my beloved Caps last night.  Caps/Pens has been my M/OSU for the last decade plus.  Painful.

The Mets essentially conceded the game after the 5th today. The back of their bullpen -- Blevins, Reed, Familia -- was unavailable except in emergencies. Once Thor failed to get through two innngs, the handwriting was on the wall. Indeed, KevinPlawecki, the Mets' third string catcher pitched the last two innings. Plawecki can really bring it - he occasionally hit 80 on the speed gun.

In RBI Baseball 3 on Nintendo, I went 8 for 8 with Jose Canseco with 5 HRs and 14 RBIs. I think those stats may have an asterisk next to them now since Im pretty sure Jose had roid rage and hella bacne.

Fernando Tatis hit two grand slams in one inning against the dodgers.  That's not quite the same as what you are asking, but it stands out to me.

Don't let LSAClassof2000 delete me and spread FAKENEWS that I'm not singlehandedly carrying this blog, the athletic department, the team, and WIlton Speight's jockstrap, BY MYSELF.

Ty Cobb had a 6-6 3HR game for the Tigers in 1925, and that was in an era when the average AL team only hit 67 home runs in a season.  For comparison, in 2016 the average AL team hit 197 home runs.

He only had 5 RBI that day though

That is pretty amazing. Not gonna lie.

Once Stan Musial had injured himself, but he still lined up and played. He waited for the good pitches because swinging the bat was painful, had 5 hits, on only 5 swings, while most players today would be sitting the game out.
