I'm in the decided minority in that I think that Gottlieb is a good broadcaster. He produces interesting content, his hottakes are good show fodder, and he does some of the best radio teases in the business.
I suspect I'm not in the decided minority in looking at this: Gottlieb as a basketball coach would be an unmitigated disaster. Even giving him an interview is the kind of blunder that irreparably damages the reputation of that athletic department.

I would guess X is your starting PG with Duncan being the primary sixth man (so your second starting lineup).
I am not even considering any alternative universes where DJ and/or Moe don't return!

There are a handful of local sports broadcasters that started calling for OSU to hire Gottleib last year, and apparently some alumni were miffed that he wasn't even given an interview. This may be just the AD attempting to silence some of his critics, and is granting an interview with no real intention of hiring him.

his roommate can't cash.
I don't really know much about his broadcast career but he was a legit player at Okla St. He still has the school's assist record and ranks high in NCAA all-time assists.
