UM-NW B-ball open thread
JB sits there and takes it. stand up for your fucking team.
My Jr high basketball coach got more T's than him.
Because clearly getting a T there and giving 2 more points would have been better than this comeback without the T. Great thought.
is once again the killer. NW under Collins has become the new Wisconsin on defense. They foul/hand check every play, and it'll only get called 1/3 of the time, especially at home.
Due for a spurt.
Great play by Simpson. Short and active beats tall and flat footed any day.
Well that was needed
The run is underway
Still think we're better than Northwestern. If this team wakes up in the second half, we should be fine. Just need to show a little energy and poise.
The officials from the Purdue game are asking why that was a foul
I was trying to tell people to relax on him earlier in the season. He took some time to adjust to the speed of the game. But he's got some playmaking abilities on both sides of the ball. As he gets comfortable and develops as a passer and shooter, I think he'll actually turn out to be very good. And he's not an early NBA guy at his size, so he'll have time to develop his skills.
Quite a potty mouth on Wagner after that
Every few games we seem to get stuck offensively. See South Carolina, MSU at Breslin, Rutgers etc.
is all those teams play really good aggressive defense on the perimeter.
That's what we struggle most with.
Is Bardo seriously trying to say that's no foul?
made contact to the body first
"play on man this is big ten basketball" ..... Fire Bardo
That was all Ball??
Bardo can die in a fire... shut the hell up
with the body. It's a foul you asshole
Bardo is a moron.
Make your GD free throws, dammit
And he doesn't know why Wagner is upset. But Bardo, dude got him with the body. Look down.
Great composure for a freshman getting knocked to the floor
I like X and Walton on the floor at the same time.
Simpson is going to be a solid player, guys.
NW foul trouble down low might pay off in the second half if we can keep Wagner on the floor
Was Bardo on the '89 Illinois team that was the "best ever?" Why, yes he was - suck it, Illini. He's the TV personality embodiment of why Illinois hates us.
X/Walton/Irvin/Robinson/Wagner definitely looks like the best lineup tonight.
since we refuse to/can't exploit size mismatches, it's gotta be small-ball tonight with more guys that can break the defense down off the dribble.
Mo and DWalt have one bucket combined this half and we're only down 2. I'm okay with it.
Hard to be too upset with a 2 pt game after such a blah performance coupled with an officiating clown show
LOL - man, if that had gone in...we're going to win this...NU can't get a big lead on us playing like shit.
So we played like crap. lots of turnovers, our big stars not making shots, getting hosed by the refs and yet going into the second half we're down by 2 and several NW players are in foul trouble. I like those odds
