We look like we don't want to play today. Terrible rotation by Donnal
Donnal with some awful defense there. No need to hedge out that far!
Wilson just committed the cardinal sin of tapping someone gently long after the basket was a sure thing.
He has this great wingspan, but so often doesn't look like he knows what to do with his own body.
Just put Wagner out there and tell him to be careful.
Has only been in there for 4 minutes out of 12:34.#AutoSubFail
Donnal isn't "soft" per say. He just has limited athleticism making it seem that way(jumping for rebounds etc) and a bad handle(all the strips etc). I have watched almost every single game this team has played start to finish for the last 4+ years. I have seen him a ton. He honestly just gets exposed vs better athletes and has poor hands. If he made faces like Wagner he would get 25% less heat. It is that stoic expression. Dude never seems up or down.
Love the Russell avatar
This is why this team is so frustrating. The distance between their ceiling and floor, even on offense, is so wide.
Scorch the nets against Purdue, look like no one even really wants to shoot it against Northwestern.
Can we please put Wagner back in? I know he was a bit out of control, but we're discombobulated on offense.
I'm only gamecasting but can we please hit an actual shot? Idk if ESPN is accurate with their shot types but we have seriously missed more dunks and layups according to them than I have ever seen in a short span.
what are we doing.
How can we go from an offensive game like Purdue to one like this? Everyone looks completely lost.
FFS.
we are playing like shit. at least it's still close.
one point per minute. That. Is. Bad. NW is good at defense and a bad matchup for us since their perimeter defense is excellent and we're not very well able to take advantage of size inside.
that I'm confident that this team can and will come back...
Walton is going to have to put this team on his back again
Anyone really. He's looked just as bad as anyone so far today
Robinson has really come along as a defender. Still not the type of guy that is going to stop a good dribble penetrator, but he's crafty with his help defense in passing lanes and can challenge a shot when he's in position. I've been impressed with his development on D considering where he started from.
everyone on the Michigan bench needs to simulate the hand gesture of a violation and see if the ref will gift us the call.
How was that a shooting foul?
very uneven team from game to game. We cant even hit free throws in this game.
How is that a foul?
Curse of the bandwagon mgopodcast?
curse of all the mgocontent.
we need Irvin to shoot us out of this.
This ain't 2015. Thats not gonna happen
I was mostly kidding. but seriously, nothing is working so what the hell. let it fly.
We played a pretty complete game at IU and we beat Minn if we're hitting our season average of FT's (despite Teddy V).
I think part of the problem is this is our first game against NW this year. We're trying to still adjust to their style of play (I hope).
They're playing poorly, but the H/A discrepency in Big 10 officiating has really shown up lately. Honestly, I had thought it had been getting a little better the last season or two from what it was, but the last few games I don't think so anymore.
Yup that sure was a foul on Walton. Gimme a break
