Takeover of Spartan Stadium

Give yourselves a hand. I'm on my way home from East Lansing and I'd say there was at least 15 or 20 thousand in maize and blue. Way to do your part.

The fans at the game were amazing. Can't lie, I got choked up and misty eyed as all the M fans filed out of section 105 singing the Victors as the MMB played their postgame show. Great win.

Crazy. We were surrounded by sparties which was fine. There was a 40 ish dude with his wife. A crew of 4 kids that were 12-ish. 2 chicks that were students at msu. Every damn time we'd cheer at least one from that conglomerate would give us shit for being classless other whatever. We're all late 30s dudes. We dont run our mouths or nothing. It was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. It almost got to the point we felt bad for every time UM did something good. WTF is wrong with these people? Weirdest shit we've ever seen.

I've been in Brasil huddled around an eight track player (or some concoction) to hear the end of the UM-OSU game (Henson waggle play to beat the Buckeyes). So I appreciate your story. So kudos back to you, I'm in east Lansing and just told your story above to six of my wolverine buddies. We all had a big grin. Free beer on me in A2. Go blue! Great story

never been there before, but what a shithole that stadium is.  My God.  Troughs in the bathrooms.  Narrow concourse.  Paint peeling everywhere.  Old fencing on the ramps to the upper deck with like 100 coats of paint on them.  Place is a complete dungeon.

Probably half of the upper deck on the east side were U-M fans.  View was not too bad for being way up in the nosebleeds.

Had a great time.  My section and the one next to it were about 90% maize and blue.  I assume they were the visitor sections.  A lot of the good guys in the stadium making a lot of noise.

all the folks dressed in blue had come in Maize. That blue actually outnumbered those of us wearing Maize. If we had all been maize it would have been amaizing. It was still AWESOME!

We decided to go scalping for tickets and the prices were too high. But around 11:30 we ran into Bobby McAllister (who was a QB for MSU when they played in the Rose Bowl) and he gave us his 2 tickets. Section 27 right at the top.

He told us some cool stories about the rivalry and what it was like to be there when Coach Harbaugh played. He also had just finished doing a radio show with Jamie Morris.

Ended up being an awesome day with good seats and of course a victory!
