early game day morning/can't sleep thread
I went to bed around 10:30 simply so I could get more sleep, but of course it did not work. I started awaking around 3AM, dozed off a few times here and there, and then about twenty minutes ago, I just said "screw it" and got out of bed. It's a beautiful morning here in Manhattan. Michigan football starts in nine hours and Above & Beyond Group Therapy 200 starts in eight-and-a-half hours. I have double excitement, which is the likely reason I cannot sleep.
Anyone else having trouble sleeping? Dare I say, "what are you drinking?"

learn to build charecter at a young age before they get to be 14 and know everything they need to know. You know their cup is full and have little if any room for anything else. I was that age once myself and remember my father teaching me important things like blue balls didn't mean my balls were dying, it meant I was on the phone too long with my girlfriend. Bless his heart..

and so far, so good, but only 3 are teenagers yet. with so many kids its tough for any of them to be overly selfish, and with the farm they know the rule: 'if you don't work, you don't eat.' as you might imagine we don't have too much trouble getting things done around here, and it is particularly effective when you can unleash a herd of them on a given task. works of service are something they are quite used to. hopefully it will continue to be so in adulthood.

Okay, I'll admit...it's been a pretty one-sided conversation. But he IS wearing his Michigan gear, so that counts for something.

The days of me being super nervous for a game are over. I feel confident now, not necessarily that we'l win every game, but that the wheels won't come completely off, like they used to. I used to watch games with a sense of dread. Or I wouldn't watch at all.

It's my last weekend here in LA before moving to Michigan. Wife and kids have already gotten settled. For my last game in LA, I am going to my old neighbor's house - also a big Michigan football fan - to watch the game.
