One word...

We know it's only been 3 games, one against a cream puff, one against a sponge cake, and one against a credible team, but what one word would you use to describe Speight's performance to date. Ok to use the one below again. Speight = "workmanlike" What about Ohio over Oklahoma? "Unsettling"

I feel like he could be special. Think of Rudock at this time last year. Hell, he had several seasons as a starter behind him and he still markedly improved as the season went. Unbeliever that bodes well for Wilt.

You play to win the game. We've done that. Performance is about  competition. You play to win the game like NDSU did yesterday while Iowa played not to lose. That's how you get beat.

When you win, you have effectively managed your resources and capability to do so. The only reason performance counts in college football is because of opinion polls judging your effectiveness after wins and losses are measured on weights and standards outside your control.

Gription...................

implying there is some grip to his traction. He's not off and running yet, but his feet are almost planted on the ground for forward trajectory.

Hubris

Describes Michigan fans who thought we were going to crush Colorado. They came to play, were competitive, and gave us a scare. And now we're looking for scapegoats.

Satisfied.

I'm gonna guess that we'll see colorado threw out a bunch of new wrinkles and Michigan made a few bone headed errors but otherwise graded out solidly.

This is a Harbaugh lead Michigan team with HUGE expectations from the media, most of the teams that we play will treat this as their national championship. Even if Colorado didn't throw the book at us they were jacked and ready and had a great starting plan.

The only mistake Michigan made was coming out flat; turnovers happen mostly randoomly, busted coverages are going to happen in a new scheme and against new wrinkles, starters are out, speight got rocked, etc. Bad things happened quickly and all at once. Those bad things would've likely just been annoying and explained away if they had been more spread throughout the game. Instead, everything went wrong but we still recouperated and went on to look solid to dominant for the remainder of the game.
