OT-US vs Finland

No matter what happens, Finland will get a shot at a medal. I doubt that their goaltending will continue to be as bad as it was early today for the rest of the tournament.

Do you think that the Fins goaltending is going to lay an egg two games in a row? 1. anything can happen. If you woulda told me that USA would be up 6-0 12 minutes into the game, I woulda said bullshit. Would it be tuff for the fins? yes, but it wouldn't surpise me if they beat canada. Finland isn't just a bunch of hacks.

I say it would be better if we beat Canada again to prove that the first win wasnt just some luck that we had. Everyone knows canada is favored to win gold but if we beat them two times doesnt that really prove that we were better. This is just my personal opinion tho

Roy didn't retire after that game. He went another year or two. I always thought it was ironic that a blowout game like that against the Wings caused him to demand the trade out of Montreal, and then the Wings blew him out again in that Game 7.

I feel bad for the Swiss. Get put in a group with USA and Canada, play close against us and take Canada to a shootout, and their reward is playing us again in the quarterfinals. I'd like their chances against the Finns for the bronze if they didn't have such a crappy draw.
