Caris Has Another Surgery
This was announced last night and I can't believe that it hasn't been posted yet. It's almost like there is cloud of guilt surrounded his name on this board.

I promise I posted my comment before seeing yours...
I hope your points get nuked. You are literally speculating 100%, and being a total fucking douchbag in the process.
Asshole.
his dedication to the team at all! I saw Spike and Caris on the bench heavily invested in each game, celebrating big shots and biting their fingernails in close games down the stretch, teaching their teammates and offering encouragement. Caris could have gone pro last year, but wanted to spend one more year in Ann Arbor. No one can question his dedication. And as far as character is concerned, both have been outstanding representatives of U of M and the basketball team on and off the court!
These are two of my all-time favorite Wolverines! I am disappointed their careers were cut short.
I don't expect anyone to play hurt. And they certainly don't owe anything to me, a random fan, to risk their health playing hurt. You haven't been understanding the message I'm intending at all, thats my bad. You are treating my posts like I am bitter towards guys not playing hurt, thats not what I mean in any way.
And the cracking in my elbow every time it bends is all too real.

While your statement is true looking backwards, none of us really knows what the injury is/was so it makes it hard to second guess things at this point.

It's very unfortunate that these recurrent injuries happened to such a talented player. I have a different take on things than some of you when the opportunity to go pro avails itself. I'd jump at the chance and come back later and finish my degree. I believe Michigan provides this perc for its athletes.
I hope this latest surgery solves his problem.
He doesn't owe anyone an explanation. Just curious when a guy so talented is so seriously snakebit for two years. Wishing the best for Caris.
In an MLive look at LeVert's draft stock published earlier this week, three NBA three scouts described the 6-foot-7 guard's value as teetering on a delicate balance of risk versus reward and future medical evaluations.
I would think it is entirely possible that he still goes in the draft somewhere - possibly not until the 2nd round - but yeah, it seems like some teams would definitely shy away from the uncertainty. It would be cool to see a team take a chance because we've seen what he can do when he is healthy and he could find himself a home at the pro level.
In any case, hopefully his recovery is a speedy one. It is a shame that he had injury troubles - I know all of us would definitely liked to see more Caris at Michigan.

would be a great fit for the Pistons and would be nice to have a Wolverine on the Pistons to cheer for. Would be the first since CWebb, right?

I never thought I'd hear those words. I agree he fits SVG's system, but I think we could bring him along slowly if Jodie Meeks is healthy next year. Parity still reigns in the Eastern Conference, so they can probably limit his minutes during the regular season and unleash him in the postseason. I'd like to see him be a regular contributor for the 2017-18 season.
From the lottery to the 2nd round...he could be a steal if/when he gets healthy.
