Michigan MBB to appear in 2016 2K Classic
This is the event held in Madison Square Garden in November. The other major teams in the event are Marquette, Pitt, and SMU.
EDIT: title edited. I am dumb. This is the 2106 2K classic!
I am surprised it is coming out this early, but I am all for it
Saw it tweeted out this morning, assumed it was relatively new.
The new news, if there is any, is the "minor" teams in the event, two of whom will be on Michigan's early schedule. Those teams are Eastern Michigan, IUPUI, Gardner-Webb, and Howard. Based solely on travel distance I would assume that we will be seeing IUPUI and Eastern as two of our earliest games next season.
My wife went to Howard and that would probably be the easiest game I'd get her to attend.
That's a long way off! 2106

Hope my great grandkids are around to see that.

still be coaching in 2106?
And a lot of folks on the board will still be bitching about his failure to meet their lofty expectations by only reaching the Final Four every four years or so.
Madison Square Garden, however, will become ... Madison Octagonal Garden!
Beilein took Michigan to 1 Final Four which doesnt presage a FF once every 4 years or so. Im not part of the fire Beilein now crowd but that is troll logic at its worst.
I'm talking about the future, not the past. If you look at our record moving into 2106 I believe that you'll being issuing me an apology.
OTOH, bonus points for proper use of "presage".

With all the talk on this board, you'd think they might as well just close up shop and focus exclusively on football.
I love these comments about the original and corrected title to this thread.
Oh, that's right....phone booths and college seniors in Division One basketball are not what they used to be.
On a positive note, M should win the B10 title....
didn't they make that movie "Hoosiers" right around there?
Beilein is a much, much better coach than Gene Hackman...we can't lose.
Go Blue!
