Report: Michigan to play LSU in citrus bowl (source provided)

The Detroit News says that we'll be taking on LSU. Most of us knew it was a possibility and is still pure speculation, but I haven't seen anyone post a semi-good source if any at all. A Louisana talk show host claims to have spoken with representatives of the citrus bowl. Should be a fun game to watch. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/201…

I think literally every year I have paid attention we are "rumored" to be playing so-and-so in such-and-such bowl, and neither our opponent nor the bowl that is rumored turns out to be true.

I don't like any matchup where we get to nonstop about how Miles played at Michigan and how he "turned us down" a bunch of times (as we know that is false).

This fear of LSU seems to be an ongoing internet myth.  

LSU has lost to Alabama (legit D #2 FEI), Ole Miss (decent D #33 FEI), and Arkansas (horrible D #98 FEI).  In those losses they put up 16, 14, and 17 points respectively.  They scored 19 points in their win versus Texas A&M (legit D #15 FEI).  They aren't an offensive juggernaut and really fit right into our wheelhouse.  They rack up a ton of yards but are ranked #107 in OMe - sustained drives of more than 10 plays.  They offset this by being #15 in OXe - explosive drive rate. They don't seem like the kind of team that will grind us down 8 yards at a time.  Our lack of depth on the DL doesn't fare well against a grind out long frive offense.  They also turn the ball over a lot.  in the last 4 games they have 9 turnovers.
