It's where managers really earn their money.
And go Royals!

Granderson! The tigers should have kept him after the '08 season trade to the Yankees. Hard to believe the tigers are a last place team in this division!

a great catch by Granderson. I love that guy, he was my favorite Tiger when they traded him. I know he has some holes in his swing and K's a lot, but he is so very good with the glove and has an energy level that nobody can beat.

and Max Scherzer along with Scherzer and Coke.
That was a great deal for the Tigers. Granderson was going to get expensinve, no way the Tigers could have afforded resigning Granderson, Miggy and Verlander long term. One of them had to go.

Actually I think he was floating over the stadium.

Winning (losing) run on third, extra innings in the World Series, and he pitches like it's just another game of strikeout at the local school.

I would normally pull for KC here, but we've got to keep the 1969 thing going. The similarities are remarkable: first-year Michigan coach; we lose to State; OSU is defending champion, ranked #1 and on a long winning streak; and the Mets win the World Series.

Sorry about not rooting for the 1969 streak, but I live in northeast Kansas, where everyone is bleary-eyed today, and lots of people greet each other with "Go blue!" Of course, they're talking about the local baseball team, but it's pretty cool to hear it everywhere.
Go (Royal) blue! Now I need a nap.
