weve already played 4 teams ranked at the time we played them..I doubt any other team has played as tough of a schedule...and the two we lost to are #3 and #4...one on the road by 7 and the other a team we had BEAT.....we can win out..we CAN beat OSU..maybe thats the game the calls and breaks go OUR way unlike yesterday where we got the raw end of almost every single call....NEVER have I seen so many questionable calls

Another reason for Dantoni to be fake pissed.  He'll need plenty of ammo with Indiana coming to town next week.  I'm pretty sure they disrepected him at some point as well.  Such a douchebag.

This suggests to me the Big Ten champ will get serious consideration for a playoff spot IF Iowa and OSU keep winning. If MSU drops two and Michigan wins out with OSU and Iowa only losing to Michigan that may be a path to the playoff. That's a lot of ifs and all of those things happening are pretty unlikely. It is still possible though and could, ironically, lead to more postseason reform once again due to Michigan. End of the day one day and one game at a time because even if those other breaks don't happen I wil say that despite this devastating loss going 10-2 would be a dream season even without a shot at the Big Ten championship. Keep working and getting better men and keep your chins up.

If we win out, there's a pretty decent chance (assuming MSU gets blown out by OSU) that we can win the division. Basically we want all the undefeateds to win out, plus LSU losing to Bama, and ND winning out. That could lead to OSU being 6 or so after losing to us and if we're 7 we win the tiebreaker.

We need to win out, and MSU has to lose not only to Ohio State but either Nebraska or Penn State in order for Michigan to win the East. We are poised to make it into the top ten if we win out up until the Ohio State game thanks to only dropping 3 spots to # 15. If we beat Ohio State and win the Big Ten Championship we could find Michigan in the playoffs. Of course assuming leaders of the Pac Twelve and Big 12 lose a game.

15 is about right for us. I agree with an above poster that all teams ranked higher than us look better and all teams ranked lower than us look like we can beat them most of the time.

I believe 8-4 was where most people pegged us pre season. We have a very good chance of finishing 9-3 (Id say probably 75%).

Beating Ohio State at the end of the year would pretty much send this blog into a frenzy. We still have much to look forward to this season.

MSU needed a last second fluke play/error to win a football game that they trailed all game long. Yes, MSU outgained Michigan, but the Wolverines were poised to win that game, and at one point led the 7th ranked Spartans 23-14.

MSU is a talented team, but Dantonio and the Spartans were very fortunate. The next 3 games for them are easy Indiana, @Nebraska, Maryland before their big one at Ohio State.

Here's where we sit now on a couple other popular ratings -

Sagarin: Fell to #13, highest rated 2-loss team. MSU sits at #19, for comparison.

Massey: Fell to #17, State elevated to #8. Still on track for 9-3 per their projection.

Remember LSU NC season in 2007/2008 with two losses. Yes, they were both triple overtime (I believe) but still, two losses. Colorado won the NC in 1990 I believe with a loss and a tie. Now of course we have the playoff system. Not saying it's likely for Michigan but neither was last night's final play.
