OT: Manziel pulled over Monday by police.

Drinking. And His GF was in the car and told police he pushed her during an argument.

I don't feel sorry for him but jesus, ESPN just spent literally 15 minutes on this story.

wasn't charged and free to drive away? Doesn't say if the officer run any tests on him.  Just curious I guess.  It is sad to see a guy with so much potential destroy his career this way.

Update: Manzeil just tweeted "no big deal", the police said he wasn't drunk and the Browns are aware and are issuing no formal comment and say his playing status for Sunday is unchanged. The girlfriend was apparently very drunk but Manzeil was not FWIW.

Anyone read the article? This wasn't "drunk driving," it was "driving having had drinks long enough ago that he was no longer legally drunk." Everyone can get off their high horse. Dude might be a douchebag but this wasn't a condemnable incident. On the other hand, his girlfriend sounds like a bucket of Crazy and Definitely Not Worth It. We've all dated one...

And when she starts drunkenly getting you into potentially serious trouble (article says she played the 'domestic abuse' angle), that's the limit. She said she wanted to go back to Texas. I'd let her. Of course, my tolerance for smoking hot drama-queen airheads expired just after college too. Manziel is the right age. He'll learn.

The police should not have allowed the two to leave together, regardless of what she said about not wanting to press charges. You don't leave two people together after a DV incident.
