'There might be a probability of possibly knowing (which is somewhat likely) that someone may have done something that had little impact on the out come of the game' is not concrete evidence. A win for Tom and a win for America.

Not sure how anyone who has ever followed ACTUAL law cases didn't see this one coming.   I wasn't sure Brady would get a full reversal like this, but I was pretty confident he would score some sort of victory.

The NFL had no evidence he did anything.  Their entire case was built around a report written by an NFL lackey that they paid millions of dollars to with instructions on how it had to turn out.  And it had more holes in it than a bad hockey goalie.

Their only argument was that Goodell could essentially suspend players for any reason because he didn't like them, because he's Kim John Un.  That wasn't going to fly in a federal courtroom.

The judge gave the NFL a million outs--he essentially completely broadcast how he was going to rule and told them "hey you morons, settle this case before I publically smack you down", but Goodell is such an egotistical fool, he can't ever go backwards.  He's the guy who starts pulling out into the intersection, realizes he's gonna cause a 10-car pileup, and keeps going anyway becaus he doesn't want to seem "weak" by backing his car up 5 feet.

3 primary reasons:

1. Inadequate notice to Tom Brady of both his potential discipline and his alleged misconduct.

2. Denial of opportunity for Tom Brady to examine one of the two named investigators

3.  Denial of equal access to investigative files including witness interview notes

It appears the NFL ran the investigation and shared little or none of the findings with Tom Brady, NFLPU and others involved.  I'm not a lawyer but I've been to court enough times to know that both parties are privy to all info regarding the hearing.

I grew numb to the story at one point, but my interest was reinvigorated over the last couple months.  In the end I think I'm going to miss the Deflategate shitshow.

And once again, how many NFL writers were all over Brady for taking this to court and saying he had no chance and needed to just roll over and take the suspension?   All of them so eager to get in line to suck Goodell's *&)#

Probably a noob question, but this thread is only showing up for me in the right hand margin where the "New - Hot - Recent" tabs are located. It doesn't show up in the main thread area in the middle of the page. What's the deal with that? Do I have to change some settings or something?

I'm not talking about the MGoBlog page. When I click on the "MGoBoard" link at the top, in the center of the page I get the normal list of threads that people created, but the Brady thread is not one of them. That one only shows up on the right hand tab. Why?

Edit: I should add that the Brady thread DOES show up with all the other user-created threads on the moible app (for example, its currently sandwiched between the "Fire Up" and "Jon Jansen" threads), but on my desktop ot does not show up with the other threeads. It only shows up in the right hand margin, which caused me to almost miss it completely. How do I get it to display with the other threads on my desktop?

I like Brady just like the next guy but he should of served his time. Why does the NFL give a guy the power to make disciple decisions in exchange for labor agreements and insurance coverage etc:

But you can challenge the decision after I think it's crap

Fux. Yes. I understand from a true legal standpoint this is pretty surprising but from a pure "right vs wrong" and general goodness of humanity, this was proper and it's nice to see some sort of justice served. Fuck Goodell.

if you were listening to the sports reporter hacks who cover the NFL (the same ones who told us 100 times there was no chance Harbaugh was ever coming to Michigan) or people who just regurgitate information and weren't actually following the case.

If you listened to people who actually follow federal court cases, this was not surprising at all.  They were basically saying that the ONLY way the NFL could even possibly win is if the judge ruled that the CBA was so all-encompassingly powerful that Goodell could essentially do whatever the f*** he wanted without anything to back it up.   Because the NFL's case was so unbelievably weak on any grounds of fairness or legality that their only real argument was "The CBA says Goodell is a dictator who can do anything and the players have to take it".

Or hits a person while intoxicated and the NFL PUNISHES HIM and he decides to appeal is that not ridiculous as well. These players are fucking idiots and get away with everything. I think Brady should be suspended and it should of been upheld. Why have a process if u can appeal everything.

Did it and do does everyone else. Hey I like Brady too but all you need to know is the guys that worked for the Patriots no longer work there. If that's not saying were guilty then I don't know is what it. Don't give the commish the power if your gonna overturn it and take his legs out from u see him. Makes no sense. That was the deal in exchange for better insurance, concussion protocol, contract improvements etc: just seems stupid to me
