I don't recall one specific…

I don't recall one specific thing, but it's been since the dark days. I have vivid memories of the Rilo Kiley hype video and even bought a Power of the Forcier tee shirt. I don't post much anymore, but on a day like this it's great to get reflective about the journey.

Brian, Seth, and Alex are incredible in talent and dedication, and many shouts out to the Aces, Heikos, and many more I'm forgetting over the years. Thanks for making this ride all the more enjoyable and deepening my understanding of what's happening on the field.

I was very surprised to read…

I was very surprised to read that article and not see any mention of the ratio. It's not difficult to see through the networks and NCAA saying "see, we didn't put in more ads!" but realize while technically true, the few minutes they're shaving off overall game length is the part you actually want to see.

I don't like to jump to conspiracy theory, but it's such an elementary connection to make that I wonder if these reporters who are typically excellent were instructed to just parrot the message from the networks/NCAA rather than interpret the data even in the most basic way.

I never post anymore, but…

I never post anymore, but logged back in to say thanks for all your hard work. Good luck, and hang in there!

Loyola grad here. Moser's…

Loyola grad here. Moser's success increased greatly once Loyola upgraded it's facilities. They played in a gym that was legitimately worse than some high schools, and had a practice facility that was built in 1924 and very rarely upgraded. Once they upgraded the gym and built a new practice facility, things turned around. Around the same time, they switched from the Horizon league to Missouri Valley, a huge upgrade in competition, but helpful for recruiting.

Long story short, we were able to keep him in 2018, but I'd imagine he's going to get some really tempting offers this summer.

Loyola grad

I'm a Loyola alumnus. The Ramblers are the only team I'd ever root for over Michigan, so it's been an odd week. It's been one hell of a run, but Sister Jean magic aside, I can't see any reasonable path to a Loyola victory unless Michigan unless they have an extremely rough night from behind the arc. Possible, but not likely. The good news is that either way after the final buzzer I won't have conflicting rooting interests anymore.

I was saying Boo-urns.

The thing that puts WELL OKAY

The thing that puts WELL OKAY over the top for me is the earnestness of the freakout juxtaposed against the score/clock box.

Spoiler alert.

Spoiler alert.

Didn't Orlando Pace play a

Didn't Orlando Pace play a bit of D-Line for that other school?  Not full time, but maybe in short yardage situations I seem to remember.

I can't believe he's been

I can't believe he's been around long enough to graduate already.  Seems like he just got here.  Sorry it didn't work out, hope he tears it up wherever his next stop is.

Taught one and a half year old son how to hit a ball of our toddler t-ball set last night.  Only a few years away from this:

Big Blues fan here.  I'm

Big Blues fan here.  I'm actually kind of surprised to see how many Red Wings fans hate the Blues.  Growing up it seemed like the Wings always beat the Blues, then took all our good players a few years later. I mark Yzerman's double OT goal the exact moment my childhood ended.  With the Wings (rightfully) more worried about the Avs in those days and the Hawks later, I always thought Wings fans considered us a pesky little first round appetizer before moving onto the real challenge.  I certainly do miss the rivalry now that the Wings have moved to the East though.

Happy Birthday Denard!

Eat up that birthday cake!

Pacioretty is a solid choice,

Pacioretty is a solid choice, but I'm shocked it wasn't Subban.  Hope Max doesn't get hit with some unfair backlash as a result.

Like others have said, I

Like others have said, I wasn't thrilled at first, but now I think its great for a season opener.  I wouldn't like it in the middle of the season potentially throwing off routine and whatnot, but hell, I love being able to look forward to it all day at work.

I grew numb to the story at

I grew numb to the story at one point, but my interest was reinvigorated over the last couple months.  In the end I think I'm going to miss the Deflategate shitshow.

Alright, back to college

Alright, back to college football!  So I stopped paying attention after the OSU game last year, what'd I miss?

This isn't the metaphor this

This isn't the metaphor this mgoboard deserves, but its the one it needs right now.

As long as somebody in that

Wooooooo Posbang!

Interesting List

Seem to be more desireable candidates out there than I thought.  Though he may be the most unrealistic, I'd love to see Gundy, provided there isn't a Rich Rod-esque culture clash as Brian alluded to.

w00t!

WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Go Blue!!!

WOOOO!!!

No posbanging for this guy!

I said...

Is it fall yet?

Well done

I don't have an ton of knowledge with x's and o's other than mgocontent, but this was clear and made a lot of sense.  One thing that might have been handy (or just clutter) was a side by side shot of the initial "What were we thinking" play diagram next to the "How it went down" diagram.  Now that I'm thinking about it, a .gif comparing the two might be an even better way to look at the two.

Anyway, really liked it overall but thought I'd throw out an idea for the future.

The jerseys themselves are actually quite an improvement in my opinion, but that logo is a trainwreck.

I haven't had a sip to drink

I haven't had a sip to drink until after any of the games this year, so that'll be the routine tonight.  Have worn a different maize and or blue shirt for each game.

Snake

Snake would've been a great fit for Ohio.

This really was a great

This really was a great read.  Losing is a much more relatable experience across fanbases, as some never really get to experience winning.  Simmons really nails it on this one, which is easily one of his best efforts since he started Grantland.

I just hope the second half of last season isn't a reminder that "all of this has happened before and it will happen again."

Brandon touched the cup

I guess we don't have to worry about him ever taking a job in the NHL.

Congrats to Kampfer, what a thrill.
