Hoping that Leonard Williams somehow falls, or they choose Cooper, White, or Beasley.

They state all the time that they pick the best player rated on their board when the time comes, regardless of position need or not. That's how Ebron got picked.

I hate waiting until almost midnight to hear who the pats pick only for them to trade back to the early 2nd round. Then I have to wait 24 hours for what used to be about an hour or so. Way too drawn out. I also used to make a day of it with my buddies. Having them over drinking, eating, playing cards, watching the picks. Now it's like want to come over and watch the 4-7 rounds?

And then you win another Super Bowl. Poor guy.

I prefer the draft earlier and on one day. It's not always better to talk about a league all year round. I get NFL burnout.

It always helps me on the first day of the NFL Draft to remember that some fanbases will need some mutual support and comfort, my own included typically, but none like this...

*I don't think it's a bigger thing in the long term for the Birds than Harbaugh, but the buzz for JH built up more slowly and by the time "it" happened, most of the UM fanbase was aware of it.
This Mariota thing, on the other hand, is freaking insane. No one knows what CK is going to do, and he has shown zero interest in following traditional NFL rules (draft values, etc) to get what he appears to want. I know that this could end up setting the franchise back a decade but I can't help but think it's worth trying
Going into offseason, I was deadset against burning multiple picks and players to acquire Mariota. But given the alternative of Sam Bradford as my starting QB, there is now no price I would not be willing to pay for the 2 pick.
Well played Chip. Make the existing QB choices on hand so unpalatable that I have no choice but to accept and actively root for the Titans to rob us blind with a blockbuster trade that makes RG3 look like a dollar store bargain.

pretty good twitter exchange regarding an old favorite:
The Ravens re-signed Fitzgerald Toussaint, the NFL's player with the name that most looks like a video game's random name generator.

@DSzymborski name that sounds most like a 1700s Louisiana plantation owner.

@DSzymborski Or a backup musician in the Neville Brothers band

Yes. I follow college/NBA basketball and don't give a rat's behind about watching the NBA draft, but the NFL draft is fun to watch. I like the drama/trades, and I like watching all the highlights.
Gosh I'm not sure if I'm watching the WWE or the NFL Draft.
And man oh man do I love Roger getting booed. He's getting to Bettman-level these days.
intrigue!
It's SUPER BOWL THURSDAY here in Cleveland...woo woo. There isn't a day in the season more exciting for a Browns fan then today.
I just really hope they dont fuck it up for the 16th straight year. Just sit tight and draft whoever is the best on your board at 12 & 19 and do NOT reach up for Mariotta. I'm great with making a move if he slides to #5 but dont give away everything to get the mythical QB of our dreams.
