OT: One Condiment, Forever
Everything I eat is a vehicle for condiments. Thus, I was presented a real conundrum last night at dinner: if I had to live the rest of my life and only had one condiment to use, which would I choose?
Please be as specific as possible instead of categorical (i.e. saying Frank's instead of hot sauce). "Condiments" by nature is is pretty broad, but for the fun of it we can include dressings, dips, things that can be squeezed, ladeled, spooned, etc.

I love Sriracha and Tobasco, but I think Frank's is the most versatile.
what about Sweet Baby Ray's!? That's pretty damn versatile.
like it. Ray's makes a honey BBQ that I like in small doses, but it is too thick. I have found myself leaning more toward the thinner/spicier BBQ sauces.

But while I have this high profile space to occupy within this thread, the correct answer to this question is Hidden Valley Ranch.
Right now I go with Frank's on eggs, Sriracha on chili, and Tobasco on spaghetti.
But I could easily put Frank's on all of those things, it's also great on popcorn
I put Franks on everything. Love it.

It has MSG, which is probably the reason why it is so good.. I had it once at a friends house and I can't see myself going back to regular mayo.
Mix Kewpie with Sriracha and you have a great sauce.

I would probably go with malt vinegar. Being a sucker for fish and chips and honestly preferring it to ketchup (actually, I am not a fan of ketchup in general, though I can tolerate it - I know that makes me weird) when it comes to fries in general, that would work for me. I have also used it in marinades, so it wouldn't necessarily affect my love of grilled things either.

Ketchup is only acceptable if you mix it with things.
Ketchup and tabasco is pretty good.
Ketchup and lots of black pepper is good too.
Only available in retail around Chicago, but is on tables at a few restaurants throughout the country. Highly recommended Original to those sick of Heinz, and the Spicy is pretty unique.
