not going to guarantee this, but I think it is a possibility. I believe he may have honestly concluded that Michigan is where he wanted to be. I think the college game works better for his philosophy. i think some dominoes had to fall in order for him to be truly interested, but when they did, he was all in.

It's a David Mamet play about a failing real estate office. It was made into a fantastic movie and there's an iconic scene with Alec Baldwin playing the BSD from the "main office" trying to motivate the salesmen:

Their search contrasted sharply with prior ones by Brandon, Martin, and Coleman. The latter reminded me of the line from Bertold Brecht:
"I fed the tiger
I fled the fleas
What got me at last?
Mediocrities"
Today, our leaders showed us what can be achieved by working as a team, not settling for anything but the best, and managing a meddlesome media that have their own agendas.
Their courage, intelligence and strength demonstrated the excellence that is Michigan.
They made me proud to be an alum.

I have only paid attention to Michigan's coaching searches and only since Lloyd came on. But to say this is better than the last 2 is an uderstatement. Hats off!

Michigan won the post season without even making a bowl game. Well done gentlemen.

Impressed by Schlissel's ability to change his outlook on college sports, and very impressed by Hackett's ability to carry out a professional search. The whole process was very calm and organized, and a very welcome change after the past few searches.

It's about time to break the curse and I can't think of a better combo than the Jims. Go Blue!

make the power move of power move, keep the situation under control, and basically avoid a single misstep through a field of land mines. And it's clear that he was trusted by Schlissel in this pivotal moment for our program.
Bless that dude. He was exactly the grownup professional we needed in the worst way.
