B1G Football Sucks

Submitted by HelloHeisman91 on

Today sums it up.  I can't do the mental gymnastics to defend it anymore.  Barn burners with MAC teams all day.  Nebraska needs a miracle against MCNEESE ST. and Purdue gets hammered by Central!  Cap the night with Michigan's showing and Sparty getting blown out and OSU down 14 at half to VT.  I just can't defend it anymore.  If a B1G team ends up with the same record as another team trying to get into the playoff the B1G is left out and they deserve to be.  Terrible, terrible football.

Michigan could very well be in the top 3-4 in conference and will end up playing a team like Oregon, A&M, USC or Georgia.

Right now I can see MSU doing more damage than last year and I expect Ohio State to be better in late November than they are in early September. After tonight losses to team like Rutgers and Indiana seem more likely now than just a few hours ago.

that the Big Ten should change its name to the Big MAC. The two conferences share the same footprint, and we are still better (and thus the Big part) than the MAC. Besides, what is with "B1G" anyways? How is it pronounced? What does it mean? We don't have 10 schools, so what is the deal with it? Besides, the Big MAC also conjures up thoughts of the shitty hamburger from the oldest, most established fast food joint in the country. Just like the "B1G", an old, worn out outfit whose product nobody likes or respects anymore. This conference deserves to be called The Big MAC.

Big Ten football is almost as bad as watching the WNBA. The talent is atrocious in the Midwest. The state of Florida produces nearly four times the amount of four/five stars as Ohio which is admittedly the deepest state in the rust belt.
