OT?: Jayru Campbell no longer an MSU commit
Blowing up all over Twitter.
Apparently, he has decommitted and is considering offers from Cincinnati, LSU and Miami (YTM).
No idea if this is sparty pulling his scholarship or not.
Michigan State did not pull the offer per a very reliable source, anyone saying otherwise or not citing Jayru directly, is lying.
Here's an actual link -- apparently he did it on local TV last night:
"Detroit Cass Tech junior quarterback Jayru Campbell has de-committed from Michigan State and has re-opened his recruiting process.
Campbell made the announcement in an interview with a local television station on Monday. Campbell also indicated in the interview that MSU was no longer on his list, and that he has received scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Miami (Fla.) and Louisiana State."
I wonder if he actually still has any of those offers. I'd be kind of surprised if he did.
Via a Sparty who should know, MSU did not pull his offer, but they've been kind of cooly not saying much to him for a few months now. I think State feels comfortable with the quarterbacks they have and are bringing in. The main attraction with Campbell is he's the quarterback of a Michigan pipeline, but if you want to crack Cass Tech Jayru really isn't the guy to do it with. Damon Webb was.
will keep him straight. . .
Perfect recruit for Saban...
It's sad, I used to feel righteous in situations like this and scoff at little brother... glass houses and all that other crap now.
Honestly from watching his tape...I never saw a big time QB prospect there...too many flaws in his game.
What's the YTM stand for after Miami? Asking for a friend...
Not having this thug as a distraction is a benifit to MSU. I just hope Hoke wont try and bringing him, and his attitude, to the Maze and Blue.
