Program Alert BTN 7PM: Michigan vs. Florida 2013 Ncaa Tournament Elite 8 Replay
Relive more of Michigan's tournament run with the beatdown of the Gators tonight at 7 on the BTN. Wichita St. beating Ohio State is on afterwards at 9 and Michigan's two Final Four games are both being shown tomorrow night.
This was a great game, but what was always interesting to me about it is that it was not even our best shooting game in the Tournament. We were 30-65 on FGs and 10-19 from beyond the arc, making for an effective FG% of about 53%. Still, it was better than 10% over Florida's shooting, and that was good enough for me. I think Florida had something like 15 TOs in the game too, many of which proved costly.
I am enjoying this very much right now.

That's a little premature, but it certainly looks that way.
Amazing how we could've had this starting 5 playing this year all a year older

That's crazy to think about, especially with Stauskas' improvement over the offseason.
Man I miss watching McGary play :(
and everyone gasped collectively. But, you know, 15.
Brad Sham (George Blaha sound-a-like)
Great link, thank you!!! Listening to radio feeds brings back the great memories of laying in bed when I was a kid, falling asleep with a west coast Pistons game (Blaha) or Wings game (god bless Bruce Martyn). Those great announcers were just so adept at making you feel like you were there without the benefit of the pictures. Sham is very good at what he does, a bit of that old school style to him.
Side question for my fellow "old" mgobloggers (35 years old here) - Who was Michigan's radio PBP guy pre-Sheppard? Did Beckmann do that as well for a time? I can't for the life of me remember since I caught most of the action on TV.....and now I have the Raycom Sports intro music stuck in my head.

to be repeated tonight on BTN at midnight. Another chance to re-watch (or DVR) Michigan beating Florida.

Wow. I forgot how open Florida kept leaving Stauskas in the corner. He basically stood in the corner and waited for passes. The insane number of offensive rebounds also slipped my mind. What I did not forget was THJ habit of shooting early and often whether the shot was falling or not. At least it paid off against OSU.

Of sad Gator mascot leaning back, as to say "oh Sh@t!"
One of my favorite GIFs.

That would be Sad Gata:
The other gifs from that game are here:
watching the end of the Michigan/Syracuse game.. this was a great one. I was ready for a year w/o Burke and Hardaway Jr. out there.. but seeing McGary and knowing we should have him for this March Madness makes me a little sad. But it is what it is- these kids went and won the conference outright without him. They deserve all our confidence and I have a lot in them.
2 mins left in this game.. man I remember being so scared Syracuse was going to steal this game away. Looks liks Michigan was sitting a bit on the lead trying to run the clock/end the game.. but gotta got Syracuse their props as well for fighting back. This game is intense! Man I'd kill for another final four run.. last year was so fun.
edit: wait.. I just realized, everybody else has Florida game? I have Syrcause it says it started at 7pm. Then the Louisville game is on after this one.
It's been a while since I've seen these games, or watched highlights (except Kansas which I've seen the end of a ton of times).
The last minute of this Syracuse game is crazy (the whole game was a great one). Jordan Morgan draws a huge charge when Syracuse could've finally took the lead. Michigan struggling at the free throw line down the stretch of this game.
The best part of this game about to happen right here after this time out.. THJ with a crazy save from going out of bounds, and Jordan Morgan with the big time breakaway dunk to send Michigan to the National Title game!!
lol so pumped watching this game again.
