The out-of-bounds area of the court should be either a shade lighter or a shade darker wood tone. This is terrible design and also terrible to watch on TV.

It's not as bad as Boise State's football field, though.

I got 34 first-half possessions.  Michigan with 28 points for 0.82 ppp; Minnesota with 18 for 0.53 (!). Michigan's biggest offensive struggle isn't what you might think -- they're 5/14 from 3, which is fine, but only 6/17 from 2, for an eFG of 43%.  Combine that with a 15% OREB rate and you have a recipe for low scoring.

On the other hand, Minnesota is 8/30 from 2 and 0/5 from 3.  That's an eFG% of only 23%.  Minnesota would actually be even worse off if it weren't for the OREB rate of 36%.  Michigan got hit with a lot of late turnovers to get their TO% up to 15%; Minnesota is worse, at 20%.

It's safe to say that Michigan won't hold Minnesota to half a point per possession in the second half.  If you figure a similar pace in the second half, and think that Minnesota might get up to 1 ppp, you're looking at a target score of 53.

I love Poole, but he tends to do the James Harden flop on about half of his 3's. He's not getting those calls

Minnesota missed a lot of shots; the overall 35.7% OREB rate isn't great, but it's not awful.  (Yesterday, North Carolina had a 53% OREB rate in the first half against Duke).

Minnesota doesn't have a ton of second-chance points because a lot of those OREBs came from playing volleyball on a small number of possessions.

Since January, Michigan looks like a team that would be great if they could hit 2 more shots per half.

The offense they ran that half was fine; tons of good looks. If they'd hit 2 more shots we'd be up 15 or so and feeling great.

Agree to disagree - overall this season I'd agree they've been great; since January they have been too inconsistent offensively to be great.

Unquestionably their defense is absolutely stellar.

Hopefully they are in fact a great team that's just in a shooting slump.

I love this team, and believe they'll rev it up come tournament time.

Got to get some O rhythm this first 5 Minutes. Can’t control makes and misses, but get ball flow and good shots each possession. Avoid the ball sticking or one guy dribbling too much.

Hopefully tonight starts the late season resurgence that usually happens after the February bad loss - this year Penn State. Looking much better so far.

Amazing how different the offense seems to play when they have almost the full shot clock to work with compared to when teams press them and delay the ball’s progress up court.

Seems like this team has more streaky players than I ever recall with a team before, mainly on the O side of the ball. This team needs streakygood Poole & Iggy come March.

When this team has 1 of Iggy, Matthews, and Poole going on the offensive end, we usually win. When we have 2 going we almost always win. When we have all 3 going nobody can beat us. `

Minnesota has no outside shooting. Surprised they are 17-8 and 7-8 in conference. Feel like they need to have an ugly game under 55/60 to win.
