It's the same Maizen nonsense, Shawn L Martin.  He cowered and fled social media, and predictably back when things go bad.  This guy is the football fan equivalent of that dick in the 10 Commandments who keeps undermining our man Moses, or Grima Wormtongue if you want a moden and SciFi example.

I read to see if it's changed because every opinion should be heard after a loss like that, but it hasn't.  Same garbage.  I'll ignore it from now on.

When you can't argue the point, argue about the person making it and accuse them of being someone who hasn't posted on this site for over a year who people disliked because, wait for it, he was being honest about UM's recruiting. It's a solid technique to distract people from reality but sadly does nothing to address the concerns being made. I'd be more upset about Harbaugh's 0-4 record against OSU but that's just me. Maybe if we keep doing what we're doing we'll get different results. Definition of insanity.

What you posted is fine. The star system is deeply flawed. The offers often make the stars, not vice versa. Regardless, we all want 4 and 5-stars. We know they average out to a better caliber of athlete. 3-stars and unranked walk-ons can pan out as well. I'm not going to dive into the example war.

What I don't understand is what good it does for you to incessantly bitch about it. Do you think Harbaugh doesn't realize he wants the good athletes and not the bad ones? Do you think we're just taking the first rando-three-star that calls us back while there are 5-stars begging us for an offer?

Do they like the cold? Do they care about education? Do they like Harbaugh's heavy offensive style? Do they like Don Brown? Do they want money? Are they smart enough for Michigan? Is Urban on the other eye flashing his hardware? Etc. Etc. You have no idea about any of these kids. And neither do I. You don't get to just pick Top-100 guys. They have to pick you too.

For years people bitched about Beilein's recruiting and it's probably still on the soft side. But the FBI investigation is showing just how hard it was for a guy that straight-laced to land top talent. He put his principals above the need to win immediately and it's worked out. But that didn't stop guys like you from whining constantly every time we signed a MAAR, Duncan Robinson or Trey Burke.

If we're playing that straight of a game on the football side, we're never catching Alabama and Clemson on the recruiting trail. All we can do is take the best guys willing to become Wolverines. Rashan Garys and Aubrey Solomons and Daxton Hills and Zach Charbonnets are out there and we'll get as many as we possibly can regardless of your daily 3-star bitch-fest.

So maybe give it a rest.

Harbaugh gets paid what he does to produce results. You say the star system is deeply flawed but the team that finishes #1 in recruiting every year has 5 national titles in the last 9 years. The team that finishes #1 in recruiting the B1G every year is 7-0 against Michigan and 54-4 against the rest of the conference in the last 7 years. It's not perfect but it's damn close. Question, how many of Harbaugh's three stars have turned into all B1G players? One? Two? Quite frankly I'm tired of people pretending like this doesn't matter.

Except Allen Trieu said Robinson said he has another official scheduled and wouldn't commit before then. And Steve Lorenz said he wouldn't have to switch his Crystal Ball for this announcement. He doesn't have a pick in for Robinson.

Zach Harrison would obviously be the best, but my money is on Kalen Deloach.  He is 2019 Devin Bush.  I think we can all agree that we'd like to see more of that.  I would even argue that he will be the most difficult early departure to replace--not that Deloach would be a year one starter.  Sam Webb has talked him up a lot as well and made it sound near gut feeling level.
