I think it's fair to question whether Villanova should've been ranked #9 after watching them play last night. But its also fair to say Michigan was underranked by the AP coming into this game. That was an absolute demolition of the defending national champions on their own floor.

Assuming they don't have a slip-up against GW, this team should be riding a huge wave of momentum going into that big showdown with UNC in a few weeks.

This is all very confusing. Are we a football school or a basketball school?

if memory serves, Kentucky and Syracuse are the only other schools currently top 25 in both sports.

We all know how beilein really rolls. This was an aberration because we should be playing this way in March, not now.

Number 12 in espn rankings, number 37 in our hearts (for now).

I never understood why people were down on this squad. I thought coming in that Michigan was the clear front-runner to win the B1G regular season, B1G Championship, and the only B1G capable of making a deep tourney run.

IU surprised me, and their two freshman are looking really good. Purdue and Wisconsin will be annoying, but nothing like the last 1-4 years from them. MSU is probably the biggest threat in the B1G race, but I just don't see them staying with our offense, or being athletic enough to score on our defense. Unless Langford really makes a jump this year, they'll be hurting for athletic scorers when they face us. I'm not afraid of Winston doing anything against Simpson.

Wisconsin, I think, was projected to be pretty bad again this year. I think they'll be Top 5 in the B1G, but they won't be anywhere near Michigan and MSU. In their good years, they are a deep tourney team and a lock for Top 3 in the B1G.

They looked really good beating Xavier. I just don't see Trice and Davison holding up in conference play.

Happ will definitely be enough to get them to the NCAAT as a 6-8 seed, but I think Michigan and MSU will be looking at 1-3 seeds, and IU as a 4-5 seed.

Its absolute fucking bullshit that Michigan State was ranked top 10, we were 19 at the beginning of the season after:

- we made it the the title game, they got ousted quick

- they lost 2 lottery picks, we lost 1 guy in late first round

State lost to Kansas THIS year

We beat Vilanova THIS year

YET MSU will still be ranked ahead of us come next poll.  NCAA rankings are F'd up!

Stupid polls are stupid.

Swat downs like yesterday are glorious lifelong memories.  To have been at this game would have been even more glorious.  Last swat down I attended of this order was ... a long time ago... in Lexington when we shredded Virginia prior to visiting the Emerald City.

Watching back games is awesome.  Attending them (when Mich wins at least) is heaven.

Forever... Go Blue!  Hail fellow Wolverines!  Are you not entertained?!
