Michigan first B1G team to beat 3 straight ranked opponents in 21 years
Last team to do it? Michigan, in 1997, when we beat #2 Penn State, #23 Wisconsin, #4 OSU, and #8 Washington State in consecutive games.

This time by a combined score of 101-27. Hard to wrap my head around that one.
Current Big Ten win streaks: Michigan 8W, MSU 2W, four at 1W.

Wow. Hope we have the Same magic at the end of the year

Great stat. Seriously, besides Alabama who thinks UM can't roll anyone in the country right now? Watching okla/tt right now. Defense truly does not exist in the Big 12. LSU looks pathetic.

Bama makes lots of teams look pathetic. LSU might be overrated (along with its whole conference) though. To wit: Florida just got annihilated at home by... Missouri.
It’s hard to know how we match up until we play a game. We know we’re close to ND; harder to tell with Clemson, who also looks really good.
Michigan’s OL could be exposed by a great DL, btw. Not a coincidence that the four teams in the top four (just putting us there now) have dominant DLs. Clemson and Bama have great ones.

I have no idea about Clemson. They house some of these teams in a way that makes me think they're probably elite, and then you remember Louisville gave up 56 to Wake, 66 to GT, etc. And sure Clemson beat up FSU got run off the field by VT and NC State. So at this point, my guess is UM is the 2nd or 3rd best team in the country.

I watched the Syracuse-Clemson game a few weeks ago. Cuse should have won and basically lost due to some creative officiating at the end - and this was in Clemson no less. I think Clemson is a good (not great) team that has benefited from having some atrocious teams on their schedule. They could probably beat UM as likely as losing to them, but they'd still get blown out by Bama like everyone else.

I told you all LSU wasn't shit. They should be out of the picture now with two losses. Both times getting their asses kicked. That Florida team isn't anything special either. Banking on ND choking at SC. Georgia will lose to Bama in SEC title game. Oklahoma is weak. They might run the table but they aren't beating anyone with a defense. Fuck Clemson and their cake walk schedule. They're probably in. How in the fuck does ND not have to play Clemson in the ACC title game? That just boggles my mind. Of coarse both of those chicken shits won't play each other. The playoff committee is doing their damnedest to get Clemson and ND in. I'm guessing ND will choke like they usually do and Clemson will make it through.

That fucking game 1 loss is making me a little nauseous considering how much better we are right now than we were.

Looking forward to a rematch in CFP

LSU has a good defense. Their offense reminds me of Michigan 2017. Very predictable. A QB who looks lost throwing into coverage and plays taking too long to develop when they don't have the offensive line to hold back the rush. LSU is as top 25 team but not top 10. And what about Florida getting run out of their own stadium by Mizzou. Sorry, Alabama is the best team in country, and Georgia is the only other really good team in SEC. That said, Michigan would beat Georgia by at least 10 on neutral field.

This was an amazing 3-game run by Michigan!
Early in the year, the discussion was how many of these 3 games Michigan might lose. Instead, they steamroll all 3.
Sure, Wisconsin isn't what we thought they were, but what Michigan did to them was impressive. Sparty could muster nothing. Now PSU was made to look pathetic.
Very impressive. Certainly CFP-worthy performances.

I'm guessing Rutger won't give us a chance to make it four straight.

But it's a rivalry game.

What are the odds Rutgers is ranked next weekend?
November 3rd, 2018 at 11:53 PM ^
slackbot: Rutger
November 4th, 2018 at 12:09 AM ^
I am fairly certain they are similar to the odds of them being ranked historically on any given week in the last several decades, but then you already knew this, of course.
November 4th, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
Rutger is the biggest trap game I've seen in the last 20yrs
November 4th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
Thankfully we have them at Rutger where Rutger hasn't scored a point on us in two years.
November 4th, 2018 at 12:49 AM ^
There isn’t a number high enough to describe my paranoia level for RU/IU these next two weeks. I’ve lived long enough to realize that I’m not allowed to have nice things
November 4th, 2018 at 5:30 AM ^
Mich will have to do to Rutger what Bama would do to Middle Tennessee State, otherwise the committee will think there's something wrong.
Sacrifices must be made, sorry Rutger.

We know who we need to beat. GO BLUE
November 4th, 2018 at 1:46 AM ^
"ranked"
Bucky and Sparty are not long for the rankings world I suspect
November 4th, 2018 at 2:13 AM ^
Fuck yes, consider rankings as you will but this is a huge statement that Michigan Football is back
November 4th, 2018 at 5:00 AM ^
DAMMIT RUTGER!!!!
November 4th, 2018 at 8:02 AM ^
No.
2014 OSU beat 11 Wisconsin, 1 Alabama, 2 Oregon all in a row.
November 4th, 2018 at 11:04 AM ^
Ah, good catch Comrade. But hey, first team to do it in the regular season in 21 years!
November 4th, 2018 at 8:13 AM ^
Maybe we will have a chance to tie the 4 game streak starting with a W in Columbus.
