It doesn’t sit well with you? The guy got a job. I am sure he does not care where it is. You should not care, either. You would take the job, too, if you were a recent college graduate.

and Ed Warriner is now our Oline coach. These are jobs and livelihoods for people. Rivalries aren't all encompassing and don't trump real life concerns like a paycheck. I think it's no big deal.

He's a GA meaning he'll finish his course work at OSU that he started as a 5th year transfer. He'll get tuition reimbursement and get coaching experience at a power 5 school. Nothing's wrong with it. He'll help out in practice, break down films, sit in coaches meeting, etc.

The Holtmann family and the Dakich family are close friends from his time here in Indy as an assistant coach and head coach of Butler.  That's the only reason Andrew ended up at OSU instead of Quinnipiac, where he was headed for his 5th year.

This is one guy doing a solid for his buddy's kid.  No big deal.

Good for the kid, gets to stay in the business and get a good apprenticeship while getting his ass beat by Beilein.  Daddy Dan should be proud (although I’m pretty sure having Dan as his dad didn’t hurt Andrew’s chances for employment).   As to how annoying Dan Dakich will be the first time he does color for an OSU game, he didn’t overdo it when calling one of his games as a player, I’m sure he’ll be professional about it when Andy is just some goofball coach on the sidelines.  In a related note, what kind of celebration moves will Andrew have to come up with to reflect his new position.  Maybe he can combine them with spittle-flecked tirades directed at the refs.

Good coaching jobs are few and far between.  Have any of the rest of you looked for one lately?  Getting started quickly at That School Down South is certainly better than other places that are totally off the radar for Michigan fans and others.  It will also give him even more reason to appreciate his Michigan heritage.

Congrats to Andrew. I will drop the obligatory "I hate ohio" as much as anybody, but he is doing well snagging that position. By the way, ohio has a winning record against Beilein during his tenure, and split games this past season. I believe Michigan has the better Coach, but Andrew is doing what most basketball loving, job seeking individuals would do under the circumstances. Go Blue

wow - sharing your sentiments. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, figuring they might have a good grad program for him and were one of the few major schools who might give him real minutes. .... but coaching for them crosses a line.
