One 5 star a decade is the bigger story.

I still think we're making a mistake not focusing on the state like we are. Too many guys from other parts of the country aren't familiar with the bad blood between MSU and OSU.
You also have higher turnover with kids from far away. A decade ago we would have swept this state. Dobbs, both Browns, Barnett, Dixon, Smith, and Mangham would have been ours at a wink.
The talent in the state has definitely seen an uptick. Michigan has produced several top 50 recruits in the last few years alone. Some good ones next year already too. I think we land the lion’s share in state in 2020.
I thought this quote from the Detroit News put i best:
.."the top recruit for the Spartans in the last 20 years, joining such players as receiver Charles Rogers (No. 3 overall, 2000) and defensive tackle Malik McDowell earlier this decade."
May he have success, and represent the program and the State better than his peer group.
150+ posts and climbing about a kid committing to MSU? How about some interest and attention to the kids who want to come to Michigan?
He never really considered Michigan guys so perhaps the reason he chose msu has to do with voices in the echo chamber around him clearly have something personal against U of M. And if in fact something caused that to happen, he's a human being. It's ok to hate Michigan or have hurt feelings about something. I hate osu and I wad born and raised in Columbus. It happens.
And so naturally, it should be no surprise that he went to a rival. I for one am happy it's not to the one that has had our number for 15/16 years and isbthe final game and determining factor on if any season was actually a good season. I know you all that live in or are from Michigan feel a different hate for Sparty than I do. They were irrelevant to me until about '09 honestly. The only MSU games that stuck in my memory were the braylon comeback and chris perrys 50 carry game. Every play of every Ohio state game in memory is hard wired in my brain since my debates were with those jokers until I moved away in 2012.

This kid's judgement is suspect. Why in the heck would you give bulletin board material to two teams in your division...and why wouldn't he just say "thanks to all the schools who offered and hosted me"
