Yeah, I said you can't blame Prince for breaking home on a ground ball with 0 outs and the contact play on. Then Martinez ran into an out.
Apparently, me pointing that out is some kind of sin.
Whatever. I never defended Prince's shitty ABs. You, on the other hand, clearly know jack shit about baseball.

This series is an all-time epic choke job. How you can lose a series when your starting pitchers practically throw you 5 games of 1 run or less ball is just sickening.
Fielder should refund his salary to charity. He's hardly the only one not producing, but the Tigers could have gotten more production out of playing Don Kelly at first base all postseason than Fielder. At least Kelly plays defense while grounding out to 2nd base every time.

Not to mention Rondon had a higher ERA than Veras, Smyly and Benoit.

upgrade the bullpen.Depending upon a rookie and then trying to make up for it with Valverde, Veras, and Benoit was a huge mistake.
The Tigers are at a crossroads. They probably will losr Scherzer after the 14' if they don't trade him by then and they still are stuck with the ten ton stone called Prince Fielder's contract. They will lose VMart and Peralta as well.

Lumping him in with Valverde is BS. One grand slam doesn't change the fact that he had a good year overall.
I do agree with the overall sentiment though, they should have tried to do more by the deadline in addition to acquiring Veras. Thought they could have taken a gamble on Brian Wilson before LA did, for example.

The bullpen debacle is fair criticism on Dombrowski, but it also doesn't help that Villarreal became a huge liability, Coke disappeared after a fantastic postseason, Dotel's elbow finally exploded, and Rondon didn't make the leap as quick as we all had hoped.
He should have gotten another LOOGY though, once it became clear that Coke was going to be generally awful.

The guy has won a WS title and can possibly add a second. Meanwhile the Tigers haven't won a WS since the Reagan administration.
Dombroski has been around since 02' and hasn't won a title yet and I doubt he ever will. He alternates horrid decisions with briliant ones. Strangest job performance GM/President I have ever seen.
