OT: Watch this very awesome finish in the Indy Lights Race at Indianapolis
It does not matter whether you are an auto racing fan or not, this was an amazing finish in the Indy Lights Race at Indianapolis on Friday. (Indy Lights is the "minor league" series for Indy car drivers.)
Breaking sports news video. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL highlights and more.
That was a crazy finish - I have never seen 4 wide that close at the finish line. I don't think any of the 3 drivers fighting first place had an idea that anyone else had a chance. Nice piece of driving by the winner.
The crazy thing is that they do this all the time. I stumbled across Indy Lights a few years ago, and it's become one of my favorite series in terms of pure racing competition.
wow!
Wow. That's about all I can say.
According to some IndyCar sites, the top three finished in a span of 0.0054 seconds.
It's more like a Kentucky Derby finish than an Indianapolis finish.
#26 finished out of the money by about .013 furlongs.
Not a big racing guy and even, I'm blown away.
And it was the CART race in Portland in 1997. Road course, not an oval.
So people driving in circles with a speed limit came in close together?
If you want to investigate the obesity epidemic worldwide, look no farther than fluoride in drinking water.
but what really blew my mind is that the guy who won was the guy in 4th when they started going 3-wide. He managed to swing outside of them all and win it. Awesome finish
I know Cole, he always goes to the outside.
Having been to Indy for 9 F1 races and half a dozen 500's, that was as wild a finish as I remember. I still can't believe that the guy who won managed to catch the cars at the front. Must have had some good drafting.
Best day of the year tor auto racing tomorrow. F1 race from Monaco, Indy 500 and then Nascar in the evening.
A well deserved congrats today to TK.
Indy where amazing happens!
I never have gotten into racing.. and I watched that video three times.
