Meta- The Funky Font Posbang thread
I mainly wanted to see if it would happen with a new post from the start. But after bowl game sadness we could use an amusing pos-bang thread. Not that it does anything. But we've never done it with such a stylish font.

But the other couple I looked at have gone screwy after X number of posts.
Kinda like this-
after the first six posts or so? Please tell me this isn't some joke I missed...
[Hoke] is a man who gets it. What is it? If you don't know, you don't get it. Sucks to be you, buddy.*
*Also, the last four sentences are the plot of Atlas Shrugged.

What the heck happened to the font in this thread?
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk

but I tacked this onto an email I sent Brian just now.
Also, I might just be showing off my relatively small amount of computer literacy, but I went and checked a few comments in plain text editor and it doesn't look like there's an HTML command for it in the individual comments.

And everything after it will be in that format...but some of these changed. They were in the regular format, and then next time you opened them, half of them were screwy.
I've seen it in the Borges thread and the Long-Miami thread.

Someone likely left an open <font> tag open in the comments.
January 2nd, 2013 at 12:57 PM ^
where that might happen? In the Jake Long thread I've checked the last post before the messed up font and the first one with messed up font and don't see anything in plain text editor. Would it be that simple or could it just be hidden somewhere?
Edit: It's not in the OP either.

I'm a moderator not an IT guy!

Go to eamus_caeruli's post and right click on his signature. Then select view inspect element. Right below his signature a bunch of <em> appear with the Papyrus font set as their face. It looks like some kind of drupal bug caused by the face eamus has a single non breaking space in his signature. Or he has something else hidden in there (maybe you as a mod can pull its value up via some tool). I see the same thing happening here as well.

I suppose this means that I can write my diaries in all sorts of interesting forms from this moment on, since we can use the font tag.

Anybody get a shot of the funky end-zone font that they wrote "MICHIGAN" in at the Outback Bowl? Barker and Six Zero were going back and forth on it on the twitters yesterday:

Looks like Dingbats support is gone and Wingdings and Webdings are now the same thing. How times change
I wonder how many browsers support Dingbats even. I could also be a bastard and leave this tag open...

I noticed that Outback used the wrong M logo in some of their advertising. Perhaps they did not pay us for the right to use the correct one, or they recycled an old graphic, or the athletic department can extract some cash from them for using the old one.
January 2nd, 2013 at 4:23 PM ^
They're just incompetent, self-directed plutocrats earning 6-figure salaries to do little other than wear a blazer to the local chamber of commerce once in a while. And screw up our logo only because they could not care less.
What? I'm cynical about bowl officials?
