They must've been really broken up over that Sugar Bowl loss.

Maybe it's the AD penalizing them for the loss.

" But if they were trying to be intimidating, this probably isn't going to do it." - from the article
As the article basically says, it's certainly different and if nothing else, it seems that they at least are running with once being The Fighting Gobblers here (I say that because you'd have to be a good sport with a good sense of humor to wear these), but yeah, the helmets certainly wouldn't make one fear the Hokies. Then again, how fearsome do you need to be to beat an OVC team in football if you're Virginia Tech?

What, you buy a helmet like this I'll bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

put those two together and you're set for Sept. 15th!

My buddy actually designed the camo helmet...I think the matte paint looks pretty cool. As for the Hokie feet...Turrible. I'm pretty sure the person who designed that one is now at Iowa St.

Actually, I can. It'll be the same "it's only for one game" excuse that we bought last year. Maize helmet with Blue wings?..... Yikes.

Is there a thread that hasn't been "jacked" in the last four months? I can't wait for season to get here.

Camo doesn't belong on a jersey regardless of the sport. It never looks good.

The NCAA should require schools to wear a terrible uniform/helmet if they schedule Austin Peay.
August 12th, 2012 at 9:01 PM ^
In that event, I wonder if the Murray State Racers will have to develop an alternate "jockey" uniform in order to play Austin Peay on their in-conference schedule...

Is it with their all white Uniforms? I wanna seed the whole thing cause the helmet alone look weird, but all together that might be alright. I would still rather prefer the VT.

But those Camo ones look pretty dang cool, if I say so myself. Wouldn't mind doing a twist like that one day ourselves, but I know that would be asking too much.

It's okay, but I don't like this trend in college football with all these newfangled helmets. Wish they'd just wear traditional helmets.

Those Army camo unis look pretty sweet. But only because they are ARMY. They would look weird on anyone else.
