[ED:BISB - Title edited for clarity. That is all.]
You misspelled chain.
I read it that way and laughed to myself. I'm not that anal to seriously correct people. I was just sharing something slightly humorous.
Your being a dick.
We all steal, we all murder, we all make typos. It's just that some are more fun than others.
My first day on a temp job doing transcription for a leading medical researcher, I typed "venus catheter" instead of venous. Guess my classical education trumped any medical background. I was humiliated that I didn't catch it, but they all found it so amusing that they offered me a permanent job.
I like Webb as well, but there are some other guys who I would not be surprised to see commit first, like Corey Holmes or Malik McDowell.
He looks really excited.
We need a full picture of the bench with the social media stalking pedophile cuddled up to Brutus on right and Casey Anthony on the left with the caption All Your Nuts Are Belong to Us.
What?
I am not sure if you do not understand the vision or if you simply do not like it. If you don't understand it hopefully this helps; take a photo of the bench (minus Webb) drop Charles Waugh cuddled up onder Brutus' s arm on the right side of the photo and Casey Anthony sitting to the left of Brutus. The caption, "All Your Nuts Are Belong to Us" refers to the lunacy that is "BuckeyeNation", i.e., They are Nuts. The poor grammar is because, well, it's tOSU. If you don't like it, that is your prerogative.
You have totally become my 418th favorite person!
(you get a free pint of my blood if the circumstances warrant it)
I had to look up indehiscent. I feel smarter now.
I'm guessing it say 'Ohio Union'
I love it here in Cali!
He seemed to have as good a time in Columbus as a "Michigan lock" can, but I still see him going blue. I do think he'll look around for a while though. He seems like a really bright kid and won't want to make a final decision until he has time to soak it all in.
Usually early commitments begin after their junior football season is over (January-March 2013 in this case). I still think Webb will be one of Michigan's first commitments for 2014.
I probably feel stronger about Webb committing to Michigan than most Buckeye fans felt about Cameron Burrows committing to Ohio at this time last year. Webb goes to Cass Tech, Michigan was his first offer, his dad is a huge Michigan fan, and his mom is a professor at UDM who stresses education as a priority. All those factors put together favor Michigan by a wide margin.
I hope you're right. This kid looks like he might be a special player.
will commit to MICHIGAN!
Understandable. Cass Tech is more a of a pipeline for UM than TM is for OSU, simply because guys from CT get more offers from the home school. We only offered one Trotwood guy this year (excluding McCray because the offer came after the UM commitment), while you offered a larger number of CT guys. Same goes for the past years where Trotwood players without OSU offers have gone all over and diluted the pipeline. It may have some to do with Cass Tech being the major powerhouse in a state with less talent depth, while TM is one of many of its type.
He didn't sound all that into it when interviewed about his OSU offer, but did go on to say that he's planning on at least 2 more visits to Columbus... to their FML camp, and to one of their games. While I'm not going to at all suggest he's not a Michigan lean, that doesn't sound like someone who's planning on commiting anytime soon.
Was "FML" camp on purpose? Because if so, that's hilarious. If not, FNL*
Yes. I'm a Michigan fan... to me, it will forever be known as FML camp.
Is De'Shawn Hand coming to your BBQ? ;)
Malik McDowell has more to do with that than anything.
So you don't want Hand because you (probably) have McDowell? That doesn't make sense. Was joking to begin with, but i'm not sure I understand.
If I wanted to be one of you, I would've lied and made my name something Michigan-centric. But instead I bring another viewpoint, one which regulars on this board have benefitted from on at least a few occasions. If it makes you feel better to try and alienate me, feel free, but know that I do not care.
I'm not trying to alienate you, nor do I mind you posting. But as a buckeye you should be careful what you say – the tides turn quick around here. There have been a number of "RationalRivalFans" on this board over the years. Notice my use of past tense.
Understood, but I see you guys treat each other with more hostility than myself or any of the rival fans I've seen on this site. The same goes for 11w, more infighting than Michigan bashing goes on. Of course I can be careful with what I say, I have been since I joined this site. I could bash Michigan, but I respect the rivalry and the institution and it's in my interests as well as the other posters' to incite recourse, rather than turmoil.
Michigan is the presumed leader for one national DE recruit. What are the odds that Hand wants to compete for a spot with him? Obviously the coaches would love both, but that is the longest of long shots I could imagine.
I guess I see your point, but I don't think it makes it any more of a long shot than it already was. These top kids aren't afraid of a little competition, especially at a position in which there are two on the field at a given time. Not to mention, either of these guys could grow into interior linemen, they're barely juniors.
Some believe McDowell will play on the inside. I hope we can land both. They would be a great tandem.
Not sure. Why, have you talked to him?
Webb is doing what's best for him. Surprise! Camping at OSU for Urban Meyer will beget many more offers. I still think he'll end up blue but can you blame him for wanting to be highly sought after?
so does anyone have a guess for the, say...top 5-10 in-state kids for 2014? So far, from what I've pieced together, it seems as if it goes
1. Malik McDowell
2. Drake Harris
3. Damon Webb
Where do Chance Stewart, Deon Drake, ect. fall in here? The first 3 all seem like top 100 sorts. What about the rest of the state? Is this a deep year coming up in Michigan?
Ka'John Armstrong, Damon Webb, Chance Stewart, Lorenzo Collins, Deon Drake, Drake Harris, Malik McDowell, Jake Khoury, Avonte Maddox and Jordan VanDort. I would expect most of these guys to comprise the top ten for next year. Look out for VanDort.... he's a 6'5 275lb TE who moves like a TE. Could be a very athletic tackle or an "every down" TE.
Dylan Roney...
