Title says it all, but Troy Woolfolk was invited to the Detroit Lions rookie camp this weekend as a try-out to compete for a spot on the team. Wish him the best luck! Go Blue!
He is probably at the Bills Camp
I love this for both Troy and the Lions.
That name sounds familiar...I think he may have been on BTN the other night...
Haven't seen this posted yet, but the Chiefs signed Hemingway today! 4-year deal.

probably worth it's own thread on a day like today...
Junior is awesome and would have been Braylon-esque under different circumstances.
Great news for Junior, and glad that he got a long-term deal (which in NFL terms, means you still can get cut at any time).
I thought I read somewhere though that a 4-year deal was the minimum for draft picks though. Which makes sense, because if you look at the transactions that are taking place, all of them are getting 4-years.
You're right; low-round rookies get signed to 4-year deals @ $390K/yr (rookie minimum) with a variable signing bonus (5-6 figures depending on round) that goes against each team's rookie cap. 1st rounders have a team-option for a 5th year.

Still not too shabby for your first year out of school.
Hoolay for Tloy. Risten to the Rions Loar!
Local NFL teams should always keep a few roster spots open for local college players who might not other wise make it in the NFL. Let them play for 2 years, just their fans can gradually say goodbye.
I'm saying this more for Jordan Kovacs who i'll miss watching on the football field after this year if no teams choose him on draft day. I'm not a Lions fan but I'd check out a game or 2 just to be able to meet certain players
of all the camps to be in i think he is at the one with the most opportunity for him to stick
