OT Proposed new name for school in Alabama: Nick Saban High
I just read a great article about people trying to name a new high school in Montgomery, AL 'Nick Saban High'. Unfortunately for Tide fans, the name was not accepted but it was a valient effot by those who participated. Kudos for trying!

To be honest, High Schools are named for some pretty weird stuff. Considering that Alabama already has a statue of Saban, it wouldn't surprise me to start seeing other things being named after him.
You didn't spell "porpoise" right.
They'll regret that when this happens:
Makes perfect sense, I'm sure Nick Saban gets high quite often
There's actually a HS in Tuscaloosa named Paul W. Bryant High School. I'm seriously not joking, they're called the Red Elephants.
Bryant was perceived to represent everything that is good about college football. Saban is perceived as representing everything wrong with college football. It is a lot easier to justify naming a HS after Bryant than Saban.
There are more schools named after John F. Kennedy than Teddy Roosevelt if that tells you anything.
You do know that Bryant did admit to paying players while at Texas A&M, right? No one is lilly white, no one.
Edit: That pains me to say, because my love for Coach Bryant is large, but it is 100% true.
“As big as an Alabama fan as I am, it would likely not be an appropriate choice, especially this close to the Plains,” Montgomery Public Schools spokesman Tom Salter, who "playfully declined comment" when asked why Gene Chizik's name had not been submitted.
Eh, Skyline kinda sucks. They needed another similar name to the other two schools anyway. I can appreciate the sentiment, though.
State law limits class sizes to 25 kids per class, but at Nick Saban High School, you're gonna get like 40 kids in every class. Somehow this will be permissible.
Of course it is. Any kid with a borderline PE grade has to take summer school while wearing generic grey sweatshirts, thus allowing the admin to back date their enrollment.
Then have it become a well known feeder school to Auburn.
can't happen, not in Montogmery. too man auburn fans close by.
Is the school mascot the Red Devils?
It would have been the Nickerbockers.
