NCAA Tourney Picks
So who do you guys got? What upsets? Who for the Nat'l Camp? What 4 seed to 7 seed do you think could go far? And some other obvious question I don't feel like typing.
Michigan vs Baylor in the finals.
so that would be nice, if a bit awkward.
Wichita State is really, really good, best of the lot below the 4 seeds. New Mexico, too. And St. Louis, but they've got a really tough draw.
I have Michigan over Baylor in the final for my fake "Michigan Wins It All" bracket. In my real bracket though, I have UNC over UK.
Chalk chalk chalk. Kentucky uber alles.
Wow. First double post ever. Well fuck me sideways.
Final four- Baylor, MSU, Syracuse, Kansas
I have Michigan losing to UNC
I think Uconn beats Kentucky
...has to be in the mood--he disappears sometimes. And they really struggled against Missouri's guards--they could play that matchup ten times and I'm not sure Baylor ever wins.

They don't play great defense. In all of their loses, the opposing guards torched them and any strong inside presence racked up the points. Teams like Missouri who have really strong guard play will beat Baylor.
I have a final four of Kentucky, FSU, North Carolina, and Michigan State. And for the finals I have kentucky vs. UNC with UNC upsetting Kentucky for the championship. I know I know 3 #1 seeds is not daring but what the hell
I think Syracuse has a better chance of getting to the final 4 than Sparty.
but I have all the first seeds in the Final Four but I really think Vandy can upset Syracuse. MSU, Kentucky, Vandy and UNC. I really could see tOSU making a run but it depends on what Ohio St team shows up.
I'm thinking a Final four of Kentucky vs. Missouri and Syracuse v. Kansas, Kentucky winning it all. I think we'll lose to UNC, but the game will be closer than people would like to believe going in. And hopefully the team gets hot and proves me wrong. Then again, my thoughts don't mean much because I haven't been watching other teams closely and I can't pick upsets at all, ever.
Im pretty confident that a 1 seed will win it this year. I think Syracuse, North Carolina, and Kentucky are by far and away the best teams in the country.
Thank God. I cant stand Duke.
MSU losing to Memphis in 2nd round.
Anyone want to set up an official MGoblog pool or something
Possible but I doubt it.
For some reason, I have a feeling UCONN will upset Kentucky and make a run even though I dont have it in my bracket. If I had to make another bracket, I would have a Final 4 of Syracuse, Kansas, UCONN, and Marquette. With Syracuse over Marquette in the final but it seems to risky. With that said, my real bracket is Missouri, Kentucky, Syracuse, and North Carolina in the final 4 with UNC beating UK in the final.
my bracket is teh winnar.
baylor, mizzou, unc, syracuse
unc over mizzou 78-74.
raback it.
Kansas beats Detroit by 1, 66-65. Detroit clanks a game-winning shot off the iron as time expires
Detroit can play. I wouldnt at all be surprised if they gave Kansas a game but I think Kansas prevails though.
As for Michigan. I have them beating Baylor in my fake bracket but in reality, I dont see them getting past the sweet 16 with UNC being there but I dont think they lose before that. Sweet 16 with a close game with UNC and calling it a year would be a success in my mind.
Valley is more athletic than people think (MS Valley State, not far from my former backyard of Cleveland, MS)
Memphis could catch MSU napping
St. Louis, I believe is coached by Majerus (former coach of Utah) -- he's a coach coach, so that's not an easy win.
NC is the most vulunerable of the 1 seeds......take away the ACC refs, the stupid flopping by Barnes, Henson, Zeller will get them nowhere...
Plus there's the revenge game Michigan desperately wants (payback for the timeout game), and there's NCSU lurking too (knowing they got hosed)...
*Side note* -- anybody find it interesting that all four schools from the state of Kentucky in the tournament are in one side of the brackets? (West / South ) ?

I think Michigan can get to the sweet 16. I still have a bad taste in my mouth after yesterday's no show. But, I think Beilein rallies the troops and they come out strong on Friday. Also, Michigan runs a complex system that is tough for teams outside of the big ten to defend. The thing to watch will be fouls. Must keep Burke and Morgan out of foul trouble.
I really hope sparty bows out early. I am sick and tired of them. I will probably pick Kentucky to win it all. But I may just go with my heart and take Michigan.

has a REALLY good shot to get to the SWEET 16! NC has to win it's games 2 get there. Of course it would be a tough game but anything can happen when it's March.GO BLUE!!!

My bracket will surely change over the next 42 hours, but here are the highlights as of now:
Michigan losing to UNC- too much size and athleticism for us this year.
My Final Four is Kentucky, Missouri, UNC, and Florida State. I have Kentucky over UNC in the finals.
Possible Elite Eight surprises: Murray State, Longbeach State, Colorado.

Duke over UNC in the final.

I can't wait to do my coin flip bracket. I think I've predicted 2 Final Four teams correctly in the 10 years I've been doing one.

Come on guys, we have to know what Kenpom says before we fill out our brackets!
As a #3 seed, I think FSU can make it far. Despite some bad losses, they are 4-1 against Duke and UNC (beat each team twice). I know, its not much of an upset and definitely not a cinderella pick.
As far as Mich, I don't like to speculate and jinx it. I pick them to lose in the first round, always. Then, worst case scenario I got the pick right. Losing a bracket pool is worth Mich winning in the tourney.
