How did you boycott the BCS?

Submitted by wolfman81 on

So how did everyone boycott the BCS title game this year?  As for me.  I cleaned the kitchen while my wife watched Antiques Roadshow.

We should upvote the best boycotts, the one with the most votes wins the internet!

Went from work to a farm field where I shot a 10 point buck as I was walking to the stand I was going to sit in. Then I got it home, hung it from the ceiling in the garage, and packed it with ice.

I made Pad See Ew then ate it.  Made a giant caucasian (lebowski-style) - didn't care for it for some reason and dumped it, watched family guy reruns, asked my gf for sex but it was past the 10:30 cut off so no dice.  Took some diphenhydramine and went to bed.  Slept really well. Got up this morning listened to Mike and Mike and turned it off cause I'm boycotting post-game coverage as well.  Listened to Mockingjay (books on tape) on the way in to work instead (ten year old is into it so I try to stay current).

When I was visting my parents for Christmas I filled half my trunk up with Legos.  I sat at home with the wife and built a a massive Lego castle while drinking.  My wife arranged the heads and legs on the Lego castle guard to ensure they were fashionable (the ugly ones were banished to the opposing force).

We needed an end table on one side of our couch, so I built the a castle tower high enough you can use it to hold your beer if you set it beside the couch.  I plan to spend tonight sitting on the coach, playing Skyrim, and resting my beer on my new Lego castle.

The game (?) last night drove me to start doing rails of coke so I could at least make it through my laundry. When this utterly failed I tried downloading porn videos (thanks coke) and blasting the volume of said videos through my earbuds. The wife walked in and was not pleased.

I slept on the couch, woke up with blue balls and sinus issues. What a finish to the CFB season! Thanks esesee.

a football game between two great college teams because they have some sort of outrage against the system is really, really, messed up, and should re-evaluate how they live their lives and whether or not they should follow sports in the future.

For me, part of it is railing against the system but the other part is that I could care less about the SEC.  It's pretty easy to get two great teams when you stretch the rules.  But then again, I boycotted the Championship last year because you had a player who may have been getting money to play for his school.  But I also boycotted last year's Sugar Bowl because of a team that cheated.

Sports are fun to watch when teams are playing by the same rules and live to those same rules.

I recorded  two great movies on Comcast (Andromeda Strain and Jeremia Johnson) while the game was on.  I hit the hot tub then checked in on the game. It was just as bad as I thought it would be.

I read the comments from the thread on Mgoblog.

Andromeda Strain, was great, Jeremia Johnson will be for tonight.

So I went to the dentist for a cleaning. Then I had dinner with my wife and daughter. Daughter made a spinach souffle and a vegan chocolate cake. I was scared, but it was good.

Ordered pizza and watched the Giants and Falcons game with a friend who is a huge giants fan but was out of town for the weekend and asked me to DVR it for him. FWIW, we ordered dominos

Little Caesar's run, read some more of a friend's memoir, read some stuff for work, checked tenor of board posts for game result, adjusted offseason status monitor accordingly.
