And remember, no TV timeouts in overtime.
December 30th, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
No TV timeouts when there's no TV, too.
December 30th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
Uhh, didn't they change that this year, or was that just a CCHA thing?
December 30th, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
This game is being streamed on FSD, not actually on TV.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
The point is the CCHA may have added a rule that you do regularly planned "TV timeouts" whether or not the game is televised, so there's not a difference in game flow between televised and non-televised games.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
Except this was the GLI, so CCHA rules didn't apply.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Whether CCHA rules applied or not, there were 3 media timeouts per period in all 4 GLI games. Probably because the WCHA also requires the TV timeouts, and the hosts of the tournament are from the WCHA (Michigan Tech) and the CCHA (Michigan).
Per rule, there are no TV timeouts in overtime.

December 30th, 2011 at 10:36 PM ^
Woot!!! We can keep the 2011 up on the GLI banner in Yost. (They mistakenly put up 2011 on the banner in the offseason instead of 2010..)

December 30th, 2011 at 10:41 PM ^
Wohlberg, Treais, and Clare.
Clare is also MVP.
December 30th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
@Cap'n Blue, thanks for the links. Great game and good to see us online, even if we should have bumped the pistons off of FSN
December 30th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
of stating the obvious, it is SO much better to be a Wolverine than a Sparty.

anyone capture the game on torrent for mgovideo?
December 31st, 2011 at 12:18 AM ^
both the Detroit Pistons and Red Wings had games tonight, so our game was not broadcast on TV. I've pinged FSD's Twitter account to see they even recorded it, and if they would air a re-play of the game. Cross your fingers.
December 31st, 2011 at 12:56 AM ^
nice. thanks for the help. did you get the michigan/bc game from last night?
December 30th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
What a game... Awesome seeing spartys disappointed.
December 31st, 2011 at 12:21 AM ^
I was at the game tonight. Great game, great win, but whoever decides MVP needs new medication.
How can Clare be the MVP over Palmisano? Dislike FYS as much as the next guy, but only reason State was in championship game and note blown out was Palmisano. He made over 40 saves each night.
Although Clare had the game winner, its not like he stood out otherwise over the weekend.

We can still make the tournament! Hope springs eternal.
December 31st, 2011 at 3:51 AM ^
Can anyone with better knowledge about the national college hockey landscape than myself tell us what this weekend has done for our tourney chances? How close would we be to being in if the season ended today?
